Iris-t slm

We need Patriot at this point, Russia got the BUK which is S300 level with just fewer range, but has similar speed and capabilities. I feel like the SLM is going to be yet another vehicle in the German tech tree that is doomed to never be fixed and forever be stuck in “forwarded for review limbo”, makes me think of the Puma…

Considering map sizes of GRB, you don’t really need more range than BUK currently offers. I don’t know what Gajin did, but its just not possible to kill ordnance with Iris. Jets are extremly hard to hit as well, after latest changes. Most commonly used enemy helis are outright immune to IRIS-T. So how are you supposed to protect yourself and the team?

Forget about this. Its really Patriot what is needed at this point. Its probably about the recent conflict. Something like Iris is not allowed to be useful ingame.

I mean there is Samp/t ingame. Patriot can be introduced now imho.

Yeah, there is absolutely no reason to no have Patriot at this point, even early versions of it would suffice, BUK M3 is quite literally a Mach 5 HYPERSONIC missile and so is Patriot, it is even slower than BUK but has similar range, Patriot is not OP according to Gaijin’s new policy on SAMs, if they allowed BUK with a Mach 5 missile in the game then Patriot should come to all nations that use it too.

I would be happy with a 10km seeker SLX.

I’d be happy if they revert back the nerf and fix LDIRCM on helis…

Diehl defence could openly tell gaijin that actually german ir missiles don‘t have a lock on range limited to 3 cm in front of the seeker (like they are basically modeled in game, esp against helis) and they still wouldn‘t adjust it :/

That’s because the data mine repository is taking Gaijin’s blk format and converting it to json. If you datamine the files yourself into BLK format the bracket syntax is a lot more sensible.

No the missile functions as programmed. it’s more a parameter problem

I’d be great to have like a status tab on each target in the radar menu to know what happend, simple info like msl launched, lost trck, msl lost trgt, impact, lost msl, etc.

I’m havimg a hard time knowing if the missile missed, lost, got shot or anything else

Time before impact also wouldn’t hurt

im still off the belief that the iris-t slm system is MUCH MUCH more important than iris-t to european autonomy. its such a capable medium range air defense system and its not overly expensive.

the new kh59me is very similar to kh101 in terms of speed, now kh101 is an harder target irl but its also one iris t slm has no problem intercepting, you guys that have the SLM should test out the intercept of a few volleys of Kh59me and see how it performs

absolutely, but also am i tweaking or is there no Anti air capable of zooming the camera? like there is a button for it but no aa has it do anything from my experience

There are a lot that can zoom the camera, mostly the single vehicle AAs, but I think the Buk-M3 and SPYDER have a camera if you’re talking about the new AAs

my brother complained to me that it couldnt?

Idk, maybe, maybe not, I don’t have it but a sight with great FOV and thermals missing zoom is a bit crazy

Video number 6 shows exactly how it should behave at a shorter range and low altitude target. Is it just me or does the SLM ingame look much slower (acceleration, maneuvering, etc.) than what is shown in the videos?

The AA screen camera is disjointed from the sight, and the zoom function sometimes works, idk what makes it do, but most of the time is is cosmetic.

my intuition would be to only let it do 1 degree and an orienting phase of 0.2 seconds

so that it only slightly tiltes towards the target after it barely left the launch tube

yes that can be experimented with different laucnh configs

i would test it my self but the two issues are that i dont have the IRST SLM researched yet and that i have no clue about making custom missions
