This is actually hilarious. They specifically pick out a source that has the worst stats for IRIS and based on that they model it in game. Good job, i guess NATO simply makes dogshit equipment…
Good news: The 1 minute to 30km distance with an apogee of 12km can be found on the German version of the Diehl website on the Internet Archive: Presse & Medien: Diehl Defence
Sadly, the actual press release can’t be opened, because it wasn’t archived. The preview, however, does contain the required information.
the closest to what i can get of real SLM performance is r27er with longer sustainer r27er Achieve 2.63 at 8 seconds of burn while SLM is 6 seconds more so should easily break Mach 3 match the Ukraine combat record
gajian Is the one responsible of is sabotaging this info my stuff humble opinion
Can someone tell me if the german irist radar got changes in the recent patch, because the giraff1x on the EldE got a buff
There is another with the full article in english.
Maybe we can just give the website to gaijin since the range ,height and time are all included in it. It might work although the actual press can’t be opened.
It gets NCTR, and I think that’s all in the new update.
Don’t use the graphs, use Dontkev’s video and the sensorview. The graph is not really accepted as proof.

~75s @ ~23km distance
Actually, there is another change that affects the IRIS-T SLM (and all other multi-vehicle SAMs): the launcher deployment range has been greatly decreased.
also, thats 24km missile travel, no? The 30km is downrange figure, so excluding lofting
Not sure how much it lofts atm
The missile impacted at 23.6km away, the launcher was slightly closer (probably by a 100m). The main point is that it took 75s to reach 23-24 km. It did loft slightly tho but not sure by how much.
Thank you, I couldn’t find these initially. Added to the report now.
well in the test we speak of the missile reached 30km while also lofting to 12km, so effectively it traveled ~40km (assuming a parabolic shape).
Yes, the data even suggests the maximum speed of the missile is likely in excess of 1000 m/s, because the area (distance) under the speed-time triangle of 1000 m/s by 60 seconds is 30km. This possibly overestimates the top speed, as the lower-bound cannot be 0 m/s, which a simple triangle model assumes. Therefore it is possible that the top speed is lower than 1000 m/s, but that the drag after reaching this speed should be significantly lower than currently modeled, to achieve the mean speed of at least 500 m/s.
Well, was allready said in the dev stream that it will be corrected to ~25m
If we further explore the latter option, and assume Gaijin’s max speed value is somehow correct (unlikely), as well as there being a linear decrease in speed (not entirely accurate, but close enough), in order to reach 30km away in sixty seconds the missile would be moving at 710-7*x m/s where x is the time in seconds, yielding a final speed of 280 m/s, or 1008 km/h, far in excess of the current 510 km/h at 24.1km.
Of course they will interprete (misinterpret) data as they see fit for the game, they will always settle for the lowest values possible and dismiss any data that suggest the contrary.
I am so sick of it. Reported 50G is not even an absolute value for maximum G overload.
now some might think it would be enough to show them a clip of the missile trying to hit a target at 30-40km that hovers at different heights without it moving and not being hit by any of the missiles…
