At least you’re not getting stuck with 10km bugged missiles like the SPYDER :/
I don’t think that is considered an accepted source either sadly. Unless it can be proven that the graphic was provided by Diehl .
WELT is not a trust worthy source.
Definitly not since Axel Springer bought WeltN24 in 2015 and it became “Bild 2.0” xD
Its just an example that just everyone talks about mach 3 for Iris T SLM. Even ordinary morning TV. There must be hundrets of third party homepages. Brochures and Interviews claiming this.
What secret document claims that SLM reaches 40km effective combat range with just the anemic speed WT allows it to have? Where is this claim from?
The thing is that almost all sources i’ve seen so far for speed aren’t considered reliable. If you have anything substantial to add in terms of source then please do so. I don’t really have the time to deep dive into the search anymore. I found some complementary sources two days ago that got sent as suggestions at least. but it took me a couple of hours of active searching to find.
(If interested: Iris-t slm - #754 by Necronomica )
Speed of that missile is likely confidential. Means you won’t find a primary source. If there’s no primary source, you’ll go with secondary ones. Use sources from miltec geeks etc.
Whats the problem? All war games handle it like that, if they introduce modern units with classified specs. Gajin is the only company which handles it that complicated and asks for stuff which is impossible to dig out.
Still interested to know what super primary source Devs use for their current Iris flight model. Where do they get their infos from?
Gaijin is out their minds if they think the community is going to find any firs party source that’s been made publicaly avaialible, I think their standards for systems as modern and new as IRIS-T should have exceptions. Secondary and third party sources that compliment secondary sources should be used for modeling systems like these.
And since IRIS-T SLM is being deployed in an active warzone, I doubt such system specs will be made available to the public for at least the next 5 or 10 years. So I say again, the standard and requirements for sources should be lowered to make room for proper modeling and to be released up to a standard that is up to par with Pantsir.
They wont do that, and we all know why. At the end of the day they won’t care how butchered an implemented vehicle is because they can do whatever they want or think is right

New AA system are all underperforming while they could counter KH38 toxic meta, and gaijin decided to give GPS guidance to KH38.
New AA DOA
“there is no russian bias” “skill issue”
You are Aware that Necro is on our side?
Sadly hes just an Game master and not THE dev who works on the SLM…
He was trying with us to find stuff for Mach 3
“source is need to change the speed”. so… what source gaijin using to making these nerfs in iris since no source shows the speed correctly?
btw, still waiting for the source where proves the existence of the kh38
While I get that its a game, denying publically available documents on the performance of military weapon systems in service and claiming to have alternative sources you don’t share or disclose seems like a slippery slope. Not to mention, and I would be shocked to see such a thing happen but also acknowledge weird things HAVE happened before, it seems like a good way to get an investigation brought up against your company. What documents are you looking at that isnt public knowledge?
Unless I’ve just never stumbled upon it, the fact that like the War Thunder Wiki doesn’t have a section on every vehicle showcasing the source documents used to implement the vehicle is probably something that should be added. I should be able to go to say the US M1A2 SEPv2 entry and scroll down somewhere and see all the documents used to implement its stats.
Don’t bother guys, the devs want the Kh-38 spammers to thrive.
I mean why else did they give both 38s GNSS lol gotta counter the mediocre new SAMs somehow right?

Not surprised. They’ve intentionally ignored accepted bug reports that effect Russia’s dominance for 3+ years now.
If having 52-53% WR is dominance I don’t know what to tell you.
If you think about it for a bit, you’ll likely agree with me and not misuse statistics. Top-tier win-rate calculators are a joke and do not paint an accurate picture of the game’s health.
Russia is a major nation and attracts a significant portion of the player base. This means they get a sizable chunk of less skilled players, similarly to Germany and the US tech trees. However, while Germany and Sweden have arguably the best MBT set in the game by far, the ground tree is not the primary issue when it comes to Russia. The bigger problem is the unrealistically powerful and likely fictional KH-38MT missile.
While Russia has these missiles, which are significantly stronger than the AGM-65D that other tech trees get in similar quantities, they also have had the strongest SPAA in the game for over 2 years now. It’s nice that we’re finally getting this issue partially fixed, but at this moment, hardly anyone is even confident that these new SPAA can fix this issue. The Developers left some nations with borderline unusable SPAA for 5 years. Israel was stuck with a god damn Machbet and Chapparal at top tier dealing with this up until this next update.
The reason Russia’s win rate isn’t higher is simply because most people who play Rank VIII don’t have every path in the tech tree. Most people who play top tier only have their tanks and don’t bother taking the time to play the air tree and SPAA tree. The real issue is when someone has taken the time to grind the air tree and can single-handedly wreck 16 other players in seconds.
If you want current proof of this favoritism towards the USSR tree, look no further than Gaijin giving DIRCM only to a Russian Helicopter to counter the new SPAA.
