IRIS-T SLM and Multi-Vehicle SAM Systems!

umm look guys

Yeah yet the bug report that addressed this got turned down for “3rd party websites are not reliable sources.” Community Bug Reporting System
In this report you can also see a chart in which the missile is basically stalling out at around 25km. Which is nowhere near its advertised effective range of 40km

SLM can’t pull even 30g to save its life even at 1km like where is the 40g thrust vector go? even normal 40 g missile would pull that 40 g at such close range and its booster still active they really add a singer Disguise as SLM like Bruh

i know its dev but come on i fear they will leave it like that and fix it after

Id suggest, if i may, to remove the comments, both his and mine, entirely.

Theyre not related to topic in any way.

Not only that but I bet they didn’t even look at the info and how bad it is underperforming right now, even providing hard data from the game wasn’t enough, it is not capable of reaching its advertised specs in game because it is too slow.

It is the dev server, so things are subject to change, I feel like for systems as modern as IRIS-T there should be exceptions as to what is an acceptable source, and most sources, including Ukrainian (which is operating IRIS-T right now) ones state a max speed of Mach 3.

Even if its dev, its a bad indicator for live server. It will most likely underperform.

Give it realistic speed and range, right now it looks like you slapped SLM name onto normal iris-t

I found a BMVg (procurement office) presentation stating the maximum range to be 50km, which lines up with a swedish document claiming the maximum range is above 40km. Not that anything would change because gaijin believes a system with near 100% hit rate should fall out of the sky at 15km ;_;

It seems that in our game, the target data update rate is around 1.9–2.0 seconds, which corresponds to a full 360-degree rotation of the antenna. However, according to sources online, since the radar uses a phased array antenna, in real life it combines mechanical rotation with electronic scanning, and the target data update rate is no more than 1 second.

Currently DOA as of now, it can’t even hit a maneuvering Su-30 at 12 km, whereas Pantsir would be deadly if anyone was flaying at that range.

I know it’s a WIP and this week we could see a batch of updates, but if today’s bug reports are anything to go by then we are in for a big disappointment.

“in game missile can break Mach 2.2 let alone 3.2 in same alt” and can reach more then 12km because the missile would be low energy at 1.3 Mach and can be outpulled by turn or 2

"and can’t pull over 27g at all that’s not good it seems like aim7m with weak tvc "

Even then, the IRIS-T SLS from sweden performs better than SLM because it reaches mach 3 speeds.

@Smin1080p_WT sorry for pinging you but can we please get some official feedback on this?
As of right now the current implementation of SLM doesn’t provide any other benefits in comparison with current Anti air systems other than the amount of targets it can engage at once. It is slower than VT1 and lacks in range

Well you see, its not russian, therefor it cant be better than the pantsir, and the 40km range and the speed is a clear marketing lie for sure
/s in case of anyone unable to spot sarcasm
