No, it was denied, as it does not specify exact conditions when the lock range matches kinematic range
It being normal IRIS-T does not change anything here, it is already established they share the seeker.
or 3d models lel
How does that make sense exactly? If the source gives a kinematic range why would the equivalent seeker range be based on a different kinematic range?
Also wouldnt the 4km be bs anyway since the SLS in game already has more seeker range?
They just want missile exact lock envelopes, something we wont be able to get at all.
They probably infiltrated Russian airspace and photographed aircraft with IR cameras lol
Or asked operators of Russian aircraft to let them get IR signatures to train their algorithms.
So instead of making a good approximation based on sources and common sense they’d rather give a 2020s missile a lower lock range than a stinger but russian fake missiles with objectively terrible seekers can lock moving tanks from kilometers out lol
They really just short revert the change, there is basically no scenario in game where the cap won’t be jettisoned within 10 km of a target.
The game’s maps are too small. SLM is within immediate activation and lock range of the IR seeker. Maybe the cap stays on for longer if a target is really far away and the missile is on an interception route where the seeker is not needed nor would it be practical to have it activate so early.
Well they should but since the change did exactly what they intended they probably won’t
It’s all so tiresome man, I just hope they try to do some positive changes on December, otherwise I’m done with the game for good.
Oh im sure well get a great Eurofighter with an ECRS MK1 that will barely be an upgrade over decade old AESA radars and with the same painfully mid missiles for just 420000RP and well be happy with that.
I’m gonna get the R400 and bail, the stupid decisions devs take is not worth the emotional investment, it’s better to just leave and do other stuff with our time.
They basically just wanted to nerf it, with no reason or excuse and no way for anyone to contest it as they can handwave away any and all bug reports. That they dressed this up as a buff is just adding insult to injury. It’s hilarious because top tier Germany doesn’t need nerfs, but keeps getting them anyway.
A Russian missile with absurd capabilities we only know from propaganda videos. Where it’s used exclusively against buildings and soft targets. That’s a fragmentation head. Now can somehow accurately track moving tanks across insane ranges, and has so much TnTe that it blows up any MBTs in the general vicinity.
Meanwhile IRIS-T SLM is now worse than outdated stingers. While also being weak to magic does not work this way DIRCM it’s meant to be almost immune to.
Oh i didnt mean the LMUR, i was talking about the KH38MT that even according to its own brochure has a seeker so terrible and outdated that its absolutely impossible that it can be used against small (let alone moving) targets from the ranges we see in game.
It applies to both funnily enough, yet they beat anything NATO has by miles in game.
Assuming by 25km IR range (IRL) once it reaches IR seeker range (around 25km from the target) the nose cone will jettison. If after 25km from the target and the nose cone already jettison the seeker still not able to track target heat signature, it will stay in DL mode until the seeker finds/close enough to the target and tracking the target using IR seeker. Well, this will be more fully worked if Gayjin really make this missile flying in Mach 3 (1029 m/s).
My goodness. Just make it easy for yourselves. By far my favorite lineup to play is my German 13.0 one.
But at the moment it just doesn’t make any sense. Too many mistakes were made—both programmed errors and decision-making errors. Without functional anti-air, with a 13.0 helicopter that is completely worthless, and with the EF, which at best can go heli-hunting with its Brimstones, you’re pretty much helpless.
The developers usually need a lot of time to fix these issues.
In the meantime, I just play another nation and unlock tanks and aircraft there.
Just let Russian mains play against Russian mains—if the matchmaker is otherwise empty, they don’t have any other option. We already had that scenario once with the introduction of the Obj 292.
And as the numbers currently show, that’s exactly what the majority of players are already doing.
The Chinese 5.7 lineup is giving me plenty of fun at the moment.
By the way, the German lineups at 5.0, 5.7, and 6.7 are really nice. And if you absolutely want something more modern and want to unlock modern tanks, Germany is definitely competitive at 10.7 and 10.0.
The IRIS-T won’t stay the way it is now. But I’m not expecting quick changes.
That would obviously make sense but do you have an actual source for that? Because that would be the game changer
No he doesn’t it’s theoretical since we know the seeker should have a 25km seeker range.
The actual way we could prove the range where the seeker activates is if we had some data on the test launches, in one of the launches it states the cone was jettisoned on launch because the target was close, we don’t know how close.
