Iranian Grounds Force Tech Tree

Of course, the addition of this equipment doubles the game’s appeal and creates new challenges for the players
We are still eager to add this equipment

That’s a lot of info, thanks for shraring m8.

As a side note, do you know the exact staeding date of this year’s Sacred Defense Week? I’m not familiar with the Iranian Solar calendar so I don’t know the exact date in Gregorian calendar (though it’s usually around mid-to-end of September). The event is the other annual event besides the Artesh day that Iran would showcases existing and new military hardware to the public and would definitely help in getting more info about them.

The Tosan (sometimes known as Towsan,[1] meaning “wild horse” or “fury”[2]) is an Iranian light tank. Iran calls it a “Quick Reaction” tank because the tank is said to be capable of rapid response and is built for strategic missions.[3]

History

Production started in 1997,[2] but the tank was only produced in small numbers.[1] Colonel Nasser Arab-Beigi, head of the self-sufficiency unit of the IRGC ground forces, announced the mass-production of the Tosan on June 30, 2008, as part of the country’s campaign for defense self-sufficiency.[3]

In July 2020, Tosans were deployed to the northwestern borders of Jolfa and Khodaafarin due to escalating tensions between Armenia and Azerbaijan.[4]

Design

The Tosan’s design is based on the British FV101 Scorpion;[5] the tank is fitted with a 90 mm gun, Toophan missile launchers (some were mounted),[6] and improved firing and targeting systems.[7] The tank can drive long distances on its tracks and does not need to be carried on trucks.[2]

Iranian sources reported that the Tosan’s front armor is armored against bullets up to 12.7 caliber.[7] It is equipped with a diesel engine.[7]

Variants

  • Sayyad - lightweight version of Tosan designed as a “quick reaction” vehicle
  • “Tosan 30” - variant armed with 30 mm Shipunov 2A42 autocannon[7]

During the past years, the Islamic Republic of Iran’s drone fleet has been accompanied by a significant leap by focusing on the two elements of quantity and quality of unmanned combat drones and arming drones with bombs and precision guided missiles, so that Western study centers in their estimates have Iran as one of the five They are considered the best country in the world in the field of combat drones.

Here’s the footage of the Zoljanah (Iranian upgraded BMP-2) firing the Sadid 365 missile prototype.

The missile seems to be an optical-guided derivative of the Almas ATGM, with a launcher that is “similar to the Spike missile”, which is mentioned to be optionally top-attack capable like the Sadid 365 in multiple occasions. It is also said to have the same range of 8 km.

The prototype shown in the video, first shown in March this year, lack retractable fins and were launched from a simple launcher. Though IRGC mentioned that they are planning to refine the missile to be eventually launchable from tubes, and planned to have four of them fitted on either sides of their existing IFV fleets.

You can also add Zulfiqar 4 tank to the tree because it was unveiled in the last few years and is much more advanced than its previous version.

There is Zulfiqar 4? Alright, I definitely needed more info of that.

Oh that’s right. I misunderstood the article in news website. They said “in next phase” Sadid 365 will be equipped with retractable fins.

We are the most powerful helicopter fleet in West Asia

Let’s talk about the power of Air Force One; Today, what is our situation in terms of the defense power of Hovaniroz and how is our situation in terms of helicopter power?

Amir Ghorbani: What I want to say has a reason and is documented, and even those from friendly and neighboring countries who came to our country to visit Hwaniroz also acknowledged this. We are now the most powerful helicopter fleet in West Asia, and I dare say we have the most powerful helicopter fleet in West Asia.

We have the fifth largest helicopter fleet in the world
Fars: In number?

Amir Ghorbani: both in numbers and in combat power; We are not only considering the number, we are not saying that we have a black division, but we are considering the combat power and deterrence power resulting from this combat readiness. At the same time, with the huge helicopter fleet we have, we have the fifth largest helicopter fleet in the world. Today, despite the sanctions, we have created many opportunities in Hwaniroz.
The air system, especially the helicopter, is very complicated and even more complicated than the plane and the ship. Due to this particular complexity, the sanctions in this sector were more severe and this made our youth think of maintaining our helicopters ourselves. We launched the component manufacturing movement, which is the order of the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, in Havaniroz, and we identified all the bottlenecks and worked on them with the help of elite youth, scientists, and of course, knowledge-based companies.
When we do night flight and night maneuvers, it shows our deterrence power. None of the Middle East countries can do this, or if they can, it will be with the full support of the superpowers. We ourselves were able to acquire these night vision systems, which are one of the effective components of our deterrence.

With the change in the nature of wars, we went to flight and night fighting

You mentioned the ability of Hovanirouz helicopters to fly at night, which was considered one of our challenges in the past, especially during the holy defense era; Explain how to achieve this feature.

In February 2018, during the delivery of a series of overhauled helicopters to the armed forces, an image of a model 214 helicopter belonging to the IRGC was published, which was equipped with a new level of under-the-nose targeting system and air missiles. This missile, named Ghaem 114, looks very similar to the famous Hellfire missile. In December 2019, in an exhibition related to the Navy, this time, a launcher of 4 of these missiles was seen, which showed a clearer picture of this missile and somehow specified that this new weapon system is one of three types of systems. It uses guidance.

thunder system

The Raad system consists of two sets of four-tube launchers, which are carried by traction. At the time of its introduction, this system doubled the useful range of dealing with enemy helicopters and has the ability to fire four missiles at the helicopter at the same time.

Iran has good equipment and personally, if it is added, I will buy the items

Regarding the construction of the Shahid 285 combat helicopter, many Western media were surprised to examine and analyze this all-Iranian bird; In this regard, the Militaryfactory website wrote about the Shahid 285 helicopter: This helicopter is a much more advanced version of the American Bell 206 helicopter, and today Iran has made good progress in the military industry in the helicopter sector.

It can almost be said that it is the same Zulfiqar 3 tank, which has a more advanced fire control system, stabilizer and night vision.

Well, if it’s only internal changes then that’s certainly making it quite difficult to distinguish from Zulfiqar 3 to be honest.

So, if you have any image that shows the difference between Zulfiqar 3 and 4 that would be really appreciated.

There are not many photos of it, unfortunately
