Introduction of Heroes and Aces from all backgrounds (not just allied)

How about discussing the idea of introducing war heroes and aces from all conflicts since 1920 as profile pictures in War Thunder? This could be a fantastic way to honor these individuals and add a unique layer of personalization for players. Here are some points to consider:

Historical Significance: Featuring war heroes and aces from various conflicts, including World War II, the Korean War, Vietnam War, and more recent conflicts, would educate players about these important figures and their contributions.

Diverse Representation: Including heroes from different nations and backgrounds would promote inclusivity and recognition of the global nature of these conflicts.

Enhanced Customization: Players would have more options to personalize their profiles, making their gaming experience more unique and meaningful.

Community Engagement: This could spark discussions and interest in military history within the War Thunder community, encouraging players to learn more about these heroes.

Tribute to Bravery: It would serve as a tribute to the bravery and sacrifices of these individuals, keeping their legacies alive in a modern context.

I’d be ok if was of the army and not a political separated armed forces. (e.g. Schutzstaffel)

If they want to carry the title of the realistic game owners they have to do some sacrifice, or it’s ok to have a Stalin poster on the back gunner seat in the Pe-8?

I dont want to start down the political history path again but I am saying that Gaijin already stated they would not be doing any axis if that is what the OP means. If the OP does not mean this then I apologise. I just thought it might save time.

Yeah, I dont even need a named guy for the profile picture, it could aswell be just some anonymous axis soldier profile picture, so that all nations get an equal amount of profile pictures.

I believe everyone should be represented. While I strongly oppose dictators like Hitler or any others, I think it’s important to acknowledge those who have made significant contributions. War is terrible, but people, whether rightly or wrongly, need to be represented.

then nobody should be represented then, they can’t have it both ways.

Hard to oppose Hitler but support his soldiers who worshiped him and were nazi party members.Which heroes are you going to put on? Rommel? Ernst Rudel? Whittman All dedicated Nazis.Millions of Germans loved Hitler and welcomed the regime ,many right up to the end and the same with Japan whose dedication to the the cause and the emperor never wavered. Millions of axis members claimed they were correct years after the war.

Gaijin have already addressed this and said they have no intention of trying to sort out who was a Nazi and who was not.
Allied atrocities are fine because we won the war. That is how the war winning west is set up and that is not Gaijins fault is it?

You are probably right.Every Nation had it’s atrocities. Some are committing them as we speak.

Why is it acceptable to include Stalin in a game but not other historical figures who committed similar or worse acts?”

Because Stalin fought Hitler and Hitler is bad so Stalin must be good. The Winner writes history. You simply wont go to jail in Europe for saying nice things about Stalin will you?

The war was started by one nation.

When you examine history, it’s clear that more than one nation is involved. No single person wakes up one morning and decides to attack another country.

There is always a buildup of events leading up to such actions.

Law in Europe is what governs this I suspect. We have Axis sides and we have allied sides, tanks planes ,machine guns visibly killing people. What we don’t have is anything that glorifies Axis ideology or in modern Russia’s case anything that glorifies Putin or modern Russia so No Z.It is all about stepping on toes and getting cancelled.
