Exactly. Even if we will never officially get the old wiki back, editing should be turned back on in the old wiki.
The new “wiki” ain’t even a wiki. It is a literal social media app. The articles are not “articles”, just a crappy version of the stat card. All useful info has been removed or dispersed into stupid posts which take a long time to find(if you can even find them at all). Yet again, the old wiki’s similarity to wikipedia was really useful. I have no idea why the new wiki even exsists as nobody needed or wanted it. The old wiki looked nice and was useful.
Same here lol
#Bringbacktheoldwiki (good news, 67% have voted for bring back the old wiki completely, 21% for allowing editing(and test drive) on old wiki while keeping new wiki and 12% to ditch the old wiki)
At first glance I thought the wiki was cool but after trying my hardest to get to know it it’s worthless to me.
Where’s the proper guidance on a new vehicle? Ammo racks? Actual articles? I don’t care what people rate it, that means nothing to me, there’s no control group and literally any player could be rating a vehicle.
I hope you don’t take down the old wiki anytime soon because that’s the first place I go after researching something.
This should’ve been done before release IMO. Surely it went through beta stages, why has it gone live? There’s nothing I can find on there that isn’t already in a statcard.
I don’t mean to be rude but it’s not worth opening.
To further expand on troubles in regards to the collection filter, the filter for Ballistic Computer feels nearly worthless, since it doesn’t differentiate the difference between CCRP, CCIP rockets, CCIP bombs or CCIP for guns. So it really needs to be divided up into more specific categories.
Same thing can probably also be said about Radar/Optical Detection, because there is quite a good amount of early jets have only a Radar Gunsight, but not search radar, or some aircraft that only have search radar, without the ability to lock onto enemy aircraft (examples of this would be aircraft such as the P-61C-1 or Do 217 N-2).
I would also like to see that there will be an ability to select a tag that covers all event vehicles at once, instead of you having to go through select every single event individually in the collections category.
Would also be nice to have a indicator of which premium vehicles are available on the Gaijn market.
One last thing that i hope you are planning to do, is to sort the collections, such that they are either sorted chronologically or alphabetically. Currently the way it is sorted feels like a jumbled mess, so it is hard to find a specific update/event/manufacture.
Even though after this time the old wiki is unfortunelately slowly becoming outdated due to new vehicles, it still is more useful than the new wiki lmao #Bringbacktheoldwiki
New wiki is ONLY a bit more visually appealing and there all the pros ends.
You do not have anymore two the most used sections of old wiki, “Usage in battles” and “Pros and Cons”.
Now, imagine new player, one who needs to grind new vehicles or even buy premium one, he has NO idea what to look or how to decide by looking new wiki.
Simply put, new wiki is DOWNGRADE…and a BIG one, compared to old one.
It is just a downgrade. In old one I could see the suspensions and how they work (whether a tank has forward/backward incline or just clearance). Now in the new one this info is gone.
Also no more Info on aircraft guns and ammunition.
:(
I’m also missing the Pros ans Cons, even though they sometimes didn’t make a lot of sense.
They still gave you a rough idea of how to play the vehicle.
Right know the wiki doesn’t really tell you anything that you wouldn’t find in the game.
Which makes it kinda pointless other than checking some stats without having to open WT.
How do you submit an article draft you’ve written to publish? All I can see is the save button but no “submit for publication” button as the guide says.
