Introducing the Tiger and Ostwind Pack!

I’ve had the same on Xbox on patch day, where it became available for purchase in the evening, hours later. And the Dutch Apache was available a few days later.

I think its somehow an issue with the Xbox store/Playstation store, as they are separate entities from Gaijin.

I read on a forum post from a few years that it could take at most 2 weeks. Not 100% sure, but I hope this helps you in any way

Playing 5.7 or 6.0 germany again reminds me why I dont play this br usually. There is simply no light tank there which makes it pain to play. No spotting or spawning a light tank after you died to get to the front back quick. They really should add there one considering the gap between the puma at 3.7 and m41 at 6.7 is really big

For example:

Not many options but a gdr pt-76b at 5.3 or the spahpanzer kurz at 4.3 would at least be something and could be both rank 3 (but the latter is lacking aswell and closing the gap only a little bit)

When?

I absolutely love this pack. I am so very happy with this type of monetization. Well done!

Indeed!

I purchased this pack just to reward the premise behind it, even though I already have the entire German tree…

And I am LOVING it!

Even though I generally never liked lower tiers too much, I always liked Tiger H1… however, being alone at its BR and backed up by meh vehicles besides Panther, I didn’t really play that lineup all that much.

Now, this pack has literally brought me back the joy of enjoying a lower tier lineup; now I have THREE Tiger H1s, two of which have slightly better armor, don’t have the horrible hull corner obstacles and look amazing on top of that!

This is, without a shade of a doubt, one of my best Premium pack purchases, even though it has no grinding purpose at all (still good for SL though!).

And I will say it again; I really hope this pack sets a new standard where every Premium pack includes a second tank and SPAA without price tag increases. 80€ individual vehicle Premiums are not the way; packs like THIS are the way. Of course, all prior customers should get the additional vehicles retrospectively.

The Premiums on this pack have lower reward multipliers compared to others- but I believe it’s a fair compromise.

On a separate note, I really hope they don’t raise Tiger’s BR yet again, hahah. Facing more CHEATFS and ATGMs with them would ruin everything for me.

Yea I agree with what you said about rewarding the premise. I happen to love this BR for Germany and play it with new people that I bring to the game. It would be awesome to see USA, USSR packs like this too. T34 pack and M4. What a great new page for WT.

Indeed! And imagine if they did the same for Top Tier packs; the final solution to lineup-less, one-death-leaving players; both bringing a better quality game experience for them, and for their teammates.

I really hope Gaijin gets the message and this will become the norm instead of an outlier!

In fact, I have made a suggestion thread to incentivize this idea;

I hope I’ll see all of you over there!

Getting so much like World of Tanks.

I left WoT because this game seemed more realistic. But now all maps are turning into funnels and new near indestructible vehicles fill the order until they get nerfed by BR.

You left WoT when WT maps were the smallest.
Today they’re larger and more diverse.

It’s a shame about War Thunder, it gave the impression that it would be a game based on realism, and in the end it ended up being an arcade game adding something bad from WoT such as small maps, with the difference that in War Thunder the tanks do not become invisible, which makes the small maps infinitely more horrible than in WoT. Apart from that we have to add the errors of the penetration calculator, the garbage of the damage model, the disaster of the bullets and poorly implemented volumetric armor, the negligence of the developers, the mania of making excessive copy and paste of vehicles, making the old maps smaller and destroying the areas to flank, and so it could go on all day. And to top it off they release a pack of three vehicles with the sole intention of earning some more money for Christmas, shitting once again on realism, since they add the Tiger West, which should be a Tiger E, and an Ostwind II, which never existed.
Come on gaijin, give me more reasons not to spend a single euro on your game, because for my part, just spending something on this game makes me feel dirty.

I still think it’s a by far better game but they can have the best of both worlds if they put their minds to it. You have the Arcade option for the people that just want to race at each other like lemmings. But realistic should concentrate on being as real as possible. Some of the new maps are like A.I. designed slaughter fests that have no place for people that want to play tactically. I don’t care if I have to wait for a match.

You sure about that? I have seen that many revisions of maps over the time I have spent in this game that seem to want to force people into head to head combat and that is just not realistic at all. Evey nook and cranny that you can use as a defensive position gets removed so that there is nowhere to hide. They are forcing a type of play.

Excuse me, I am a hamster and I observe the surroundings carefully before moving out.

Exactly, War Thunder has the huge advantage that it has different game modes, in which you can make changes to make it different, the problem is that realistic games are increasingly similar to arcade games, games with separate nations according to their affinity are no longer played, the maps are no longer big, and if they are of a certain size they add obstacles like mountains or buildings so that you still need to go to points to shoot at less than 600 meters. In short, a game that started out as a great hope for people who came from WoT looking for realism, to end up playing something similar.

I’m just glad you’re not a gerbil, they get terribly abused.

Sands of Sinai removed the head to head CQC combat area of the map.
Sweden added flanking routes.
So on and so forth.

They are “forcing” flanking if anything.

this is the same debate as Russian Bias, or German Neglect

some will claim it is 100% true, others will say its not
