Hello,
Returning after a somewhat longer hiatus and started playing some of my hard-earned vehicles again… because you know I love those vehicles and I ‘earned’ them. Along my journey to top-tier there were several vehicles I really fell in love with, so much so that I enjoy playing them ‘beyond their service life’.
This is where the catch is. I have noticed that without premium time/ occassional premium vehicle I am going to lose SL which takes away from the enjoyment. Thing is, while my premiums did have their use, and there are some I really love, I really dont like the majority of them. Yet I am forced to either pay for premium time or use/buy premiums. So…
We have the talisman upgrade in the game already, that increases your RP gain, which after a time is totally irrelevant. SL gains however stay relevant. We all have our favorit vehicles we want to spam play, because they are so close to our hearts (Im looking at you F/A-18C Late; Su-30) but at times we have to spend time away from them to get some SL… we dont always have good games.
So why should we worry about SL so much?
The idea would be that you could buy a 2nd Talisman Upgrade for your chosen vehicle to be “fully premiumified”, meaning that youd get the increased SL gain from a premium vehicle (perhaps add even cheaper repairs, but for me personally doubled SL gain is already good enough). Lets say the 2nd rank of Talisman is the same (in GE) as the first rank Talisman or even 2 times (but I dont want to give ideas here for price, given that these vehicles are rare, it could still be acceptable).
Pros:
-Will not affect High-level gameplay. You still have to earn the vehicle first. This is not “buying into top tier”.
- Could help people to grind SL with something they already enjoy / earned.
- Makes losing / having a bad match perhaps a little bit less stressful.
- Could help everyone who are climbing the ranks.
Cons:
- Arguably less effective if you have everything unlocked, but I like having variety to grind SL with. Because of this it could look like “money grab” but I honestly think this is a win-win situation for both Gaijin and the players. I especially look at France, Italy and China who seem to be lacking in “high tier premiums” to grind effectively with (France ground, Italy Air, China (arguably) air).
