The plane has a cockpit view (including the cockpit instrument cabin) that makes people feel immersive. But the ground combat vehicles don’t have an “internal view” (like commander view, gunner view, driver view) where you can see all the equipment and instruments inside the cabin, giving a sense of augmented reality. Does Gaijin plan to develop this?Let’s all have a discussion
Probably not in the near future, since that’s an insane level of detail for now much reward. Plus the internals of say, a M1A2 SEPv3 would be…uhmmm… super classified… and we would probably end up with a placeholder like 98% of bombers do
Understanding
For one: War Thunder probably has around 1 000 ground vehicles, a small portion of those 1 000 vehicles doesn’t have a documented interior, another portion is classified, and the rest probably is a real labor to get enough information.
For other: what would this improve in a sim-cade experience that War Thunder provides? Unlike cockpits, vehicles interiors would be just extended work for no reason—cockpits actually are useful since the flight instruments can be readed to get useful information, a tank interior doesn’t have that or doesn’t need to give that information.
An airplane has a gyro horizon indicator for a reason, a tank doesn’t, you aren’t expected to fly a tank anyways, in summary, this would be just extra work for nothing. As much that I would like such thing to be added the main reason is that Gaijin is not leading War Thunder to the most realistic experience possible, they’ve build a solid base on this current stage, another reason is that Gaijin simply isn’t interested in improving simulator battles as a whole, let alone ground simulator battles.
