it was designed and developed there so its a chinese tank. As much as Al-Khalid is a chinese MBT200, and the Khalid is british Chieftain. But as it`s in THAI service, that should not be a concern anyway

Best way to explain it is that the Thai VT-4 is Thai first, and Chinese second.
