Information Regarding the Thai Subtree and Chinese Vehicles

Fix Chinese vehicles before adding subtrees please. Those tanks need fixing, especially the vt-4’s.

the reload speed also was made worthless because every single hand loaded tank at top tier now has the abrams reload

Hey man, I just want to put this info out here. It seems like a good chunk of the Chinese community don’t realize that Gaijin has a formula for calculating penetration. It’s not a discrimination thing, like some might say. Gaijin uses such formulas to reduce the risk of using marketing or propaganda numbers from any country/manufacturer.

Every nation in War Thunder is subject to this. This has been a long standing issue with both historic data of shell penetration with incomplete data on what the test parameters are and current day classified ammunition. There are times where western shells is said to have higher pen but the information is incomplete. Angle of pen, or the quality of target (e.g steel quality).

To my knowledge Gaijin decided to solve this uncertainty and standardize fairly by calculating penetration from the round’s own parameters eg: Penetrator length, Penetrator Material, and so on.

Here’s the info on DTC-10 in War Thunder:

Credit goes to Gszabi, 🙏Thank you very much for providing this information.🙏

Hopes this answers your question.

Like others have pointed out, this is also in affect with everyone’s rounds. We could have crazy numbers from real life sure. That also has the effect of making everyone being able to penetrate everyone easily in most of war thunder’s ranges unless you’re sniping from 2km away on a desert map.

I’ve had 3 very minor UI suggestions sit “pending” for a week, then mysteriously disappear without any feedback. I wonder how many suggestions/reports never even get filed because users know they just get waste-binned before even making it to the “accepted, but ignore for years” stage.

Why does the oplot use Chinese ammo intended for the T80UD/DU1 that these T80s had to be modified to use

I have a crazy idea: How about Gaijin setup servers accessible only to China, remove the Japan TT from it, and lock Chinese players out of the rest of the servers. Boom: problem solved.

I think the gaijin should slow down the new things come out, then should spend time to give some fix on those vehicle bug

Did they? I thought the whole point of the Chinese export 125mm ammunition is to be backwards compatible with older autoloaders

Yes, more so that.

Eh not really a glance from the wiki tells you that from the 69(tech tree not premiums/event/squad) vehicles, 37 are chinese vehicles and 32 are just copypaste and this is counting WZ305, ZDB86 and Type 59 with the newest addition being the M55, the rest is both the ROC and PRC doing what they could with the few they had, if Type 69 is not an original vehicle then I don’t know what to tell you are just being blind by your own opinions, this is tank wise, aircraft on the other hand is just 9 pure chinese vehicles the rest is just copy paste, I know is frustrating but if they deleted your post or whatever is because is a feeling response not a congruent complain, still VT-4 should be added for Japan

T72/90 style autoloaders or “AZ” autoloader can but t64/80 or “MZ” autoloaders require modification which is fine because China mainly uses the AZ style autoloader even on their own tanks but Pakistan had to have their autoloaders modified on their T80 UD/DU1 to fire BTA4 (and from what I can find) Thailand hasn’t done these modifications to T84 or purchase BTA 4 ammo

On second thought the T80 UD/DU1 being at its battle rating probably shouldn’t get the BTA 4 dart but rather add one of the later models of the Pakistani T80 maybe one of the ones that has the welded turret and the MBT 2000’s power pack. Regardless of that T84 oplot shouldn’t be able to fire BTA 4 unless we find a source saying Thailand did the upgrades and purchase the ammo (from what I can find Thailand uses both B3M Ukrainian ammo and DTC10-125 Chinese ammo.)

Honestly it’d be better off at a lower BR with 3BM42 looking at how they modelled its armor. It probably only got BTA4 so Gaijin could hype it up so people pay for it.

That being said if Gaijin keeps it, that would also mean Pakistani Oplot-P can get DTC10-125.

Pakistan only trialed the oplot but then had further upgrades done to its T80UD fleet that it had already bought from Ukraine

Thailand uses BTA4 with the VT-4 iirc, but not DTC10-125. For Oplot I think only 3BM15 was seen (3BM42 is compatible, but unsure if they use it)

I meant DTW 125 that’s my bad

Yes, but aside from trialing the Oplot-M in Pakistan, there was a specific Oplot variant for Pakistan developed for them. It lost out to the VT-4, but I’d still say a specific variant made exclusively for Pakistand would be a good addition to the game since it’s actually a unique vehicle.

Oplot-M during trials in Pakistan

Oplot-P during testing in Ukraine
