Here’s something you probably don’t know and I will teach you about Thai history now. WW2 Thailand joined Japan as part of the axis. This facts alone makes Thailand valid as they were close partners back then.
Also, @NiceNiti is Thai, and he has said that the Thai community does not mind being put into the Japanese tech tree, so if anything, you should be asking for the Thai’s opinions as well.
Voluntary or involuntary, it is still a truth that they did join the axis and allowed the Japanese to walk through and continue their invasion into Malaya and Singapore. You can’t change certain facts even if the facts are more complicated than it is.
Again, I speak with the Thai community as well, maybe you should ask them first.
As he himself said, they simply don’t mind being grouped with Japan. I believe they would be equally happy to be included in the game as an independent tech tree—one that stands on equal footing with Japan rather than being a subordinate branch.
So you do understand what “don’t mind” mean too right? Which means that they’ve also pretty much let go of whatever has happened in the past. So you just contradicted yourself saying its a disrespect to them.
Thailand was once a part of Axis power, that’s the truth, there’s nothing disrespectful about this. We were, and might be the only, allied to Japan in the region.
I personally don’t see us as being in the “inferior” being the sub tree…Like, why do you see it that way? Is it because Thailand is “under” Japanese flag? If I remember correctly, Thai tanks and stuff have Thai flags in the background and even a roundel.
Crazy how gaijin just doesnt realize the issue here is the double standard that is being applied. This update added 2 export light tanks, neither of which are operated by their respective manufacturing countries and both have very similar equivalents already on their trees (stingray and vt-4) yet for some reason we can only guess at (we all know why) one was added to both trees, and the other was only added to the manufacturing tree. All I can say is with this standard being set we better not be seeing any f16V’s or M1A2T’s on the Chinese tree.
As I said, ONLY when the US participates as well, unlike Singapore and China directly interact with each other in several joint exercises. Your first claim was about the ‘military ties’ between the two countries, so I uploaded the screenshot. I do not aim to judge the overall political conflicts between Singapore and China with just military cooperation. But whether it’s counter-terrorism, MCSOF, or even just Photo-Ex, it does show a certain degree of ‘military ties’ between Singapore and China you bluntly denied.
And I again point out that it’s a double standard.
You see, nobody said anything about Gaijin not going after that sweet Chinese money (and it makes sense in the business world since that’s the place where new markets are still being tapped in). The issue right now is that they seemingly even failed to do the basics of soothing the angers of the Chinese playerbase, and instead now has managed to piss off ALL the playerbase alongside.
Used to i agreed on just the money but after the last 2 years, anyone with pattern recognition can recognize who the target audience of making the money from is right now.
Yeah and making any mention of the dev’s targeting and pampering this group for more money gets taken down immediately yet I see tons of slander of western nations still posted lmao.
So I suggest we should stop discussing things that might lead to the deletion of replies. I believe the root cause of all this lies in an ambiguous national faction system. Furthermore, no one wants Singapore to join the Chinese tech tree, as that would merely add a reskinned Leopard 2 (and in fact, the Leopard 2 itself has many issues). Additionally, the M1A2T is actually highly unreliable because the M1 series itself has numerous bugs, very low penetration, and weakened frontal protection, making this vehicle pointless.
Well it’s a common strategy, they did the same with Spain by adding the VRCC and Eurocopter Tiger as premiums for like 60 or 80 bucks, they know there are lots of players out there that are willing to pay just to play with their national vehicles.
However that’s not really the topic of this thread, devs have really messed up with their choices, and as Aqua said everyone with gray matter is pissed off.
I still can’t believe that the breaking point of this whole shebang was…a single tank that Thailand bought rightfully with Thai people’s tax money, used, and even utilized in the operational level…Man, I can’t think what would happen if THailand had bought J-10…
There was a very interesting suggestion laying around, being nation folders. It would effectively get rid of subtrees, making each nation its own, under the wing of bigger ones.
And honestly, I don’t even think subtrees are 100% a bad idea, it’s just they were implemented horribly wrong! They use them as excuses to fill missing gaps with C&P and that’s it.
