So they really are just fence sitting right now lol
This is true; but I am arguing why it is OK for the US to have all its export vehicles in foreign nations, but somehow for China it isn’t… a very poor double standard by Gaijin’s part.
I have no problem with the US stuff being exported so long as every other tree receives the same treatment for their export items; but the moment that a tree receives a special exception (for no good reason, by the way), I am going to say something. Because again. It is frustrating.
That’s very fair, I have always agreed that Thailand’s VT-4 should be added. They have more of those than Oplot-Ts.
That’s probably why this whole ruckus started in the first place.
The bug reports that may buff Chinese vehicles almost never work, even if enough info from approved sources is provided, and reports that makes Chinese vehicles weaker are almost always approved, even if not enough info is provided.
However the screenshot is unlike anything I’ve seen before, to change a correct model into an inaccurate one just so it could be consistent with other inaccurate models is just unheard of.
Imagine this: every single blow off panel were removed from the game just because Gaijin thought (with no proof ) a hatch shouldn’t be able to stop the crew from getting fried. And then one day the community gets word that the M1A2T is gonna be introduced into the Chinese TT, and you find out they have the only blow off panel that does work, and no M1A3 SEPv3 was gonna be added to the US TT.
That is the closest equivalent scenario I can come up with, and in that case I’m sure the outcry will be just as severe.
I mean, they always do and will.
As if they denied the VT-4? They probably didn’t add it this update because it’d be a sensitive time or they want to get more information on it in Thai service.
They were going to add it and then they didn’t. That’s a pretty hard denial for now. IF they change their mind; so be it. But until it is in the tech tree on a live server, the assumption is that it has been denied.
This whole “sensitive” stuff just feels like it doesn’t hold, given that the Oplot is in the TT on the live server and the placement and statistics of the Oplot have been debated for years
They never announced or confirmed it, so clearly weren’t. It was leaked, then the leakers said it was delayed. Its not like every vehicle in a leak comes, the Obj 640 has been on the leaks from Spring and Singapore+China was leaked back in 2024. The same leakers said the VN-1C would come to China and it hasn’t either. Did they canncel the VN-1C aswell?
For the Base T-84 and Oplot-M, yes. It going to Thailand isn’t a controversy in the slightest, they operate the Oplot-T.
Isn’t Singapore mostly chinese? Honestly I would be fine if they added Singapore to China since it’s mostly copypaste, but the Chinese should agree that the VT-4 gets to go in the Thai tree if they get Singapore.
We literally are not allowed to dispute any decision made by gaijin or their employees according to their TOS…
It’s about as Chinese as the USA is British. That’s ethnicity, not nationality and has no meaning.
But the issue with this subtree is mainly how Gaijin actively went against the feedback from Singaporean players, only to use it as excuse not to fix Chinese vehicles.
US vehicles in Chinese service, just like how the Leopard 2A7HU is a German export to Hungary, those US vehicles are exports to Taiwan province.
Based on your logic every single export vehicle should be removed and stuck back to their country of origin, and that is going to completely reduce the game’s diversity, not to mention destroying certain ranks of the Italian, French and Chinese tech tree.
Not to mention nobody Chinese said they wanted Singapore as a sub tree either
Pretty sure the term is used in a more historical and ethnic context, encompassing a lot of the surrounding area and not specifically Mainland China as we know it. You have Chinese People (nationality) and Singaporeans (Of Greater-Chinese descent, but not necessarily from China). The way someone described it to me was like Turks and Turkics. All Turkish people are Turkic, but not all Turkic people are Turkish.
^but to be honest I’m not 100% sure on it, you can find better answers from Singaporeans ^^
The language spoken and geographical closeness is not nationality. Based on your logic they should categorize tech trees based on main ethnicity in operator country, that just doesn’t work.
USA to all the European nations
It not just Chinese vehicles getting this treatment, same for t84 and many else, but if this riot can help, I’m with you guy👌
the T-84 is a MESS. Armour wise, its just the turret cheeks.
Looking at the likes between the main post and the comments that says no is huge as some even got over 200 likes while the post barely hit 40 lol
Thing is they’re in cahoots with pretty much everyone economically. I think it should be at least a factor to consider. Their history is also connected with China.
I don’t know about the CN vehicle issues, but apparently that started this whole thing and not the VT-4 so it must be important. Some Chinese voices have used that opportunity to also group in with the others that are dissatisfied, probably with greater reason because it would seem rather hypocritical to get pissed about an export tank with a tree that already has a lot of foreign designs. It’s also hypocritical for the western audience to start yelling about Singapore if they would get export tanks into the Chinese tree.
If economy is a factor then let’s just throw every country into the US cuz the entire world depends on the US trade market, you realise how stupid that sounds right?
Also here are my thoughts as a Singaporean, in case you missed it entirely:
