They bend both ways, they have done so for China yes, but they’ve also done it for other countries but subtly, like before the in game Japanese flag was changed from the Imperial war flag to the National flag, when you switch your language to Korea or Chinese, the flag is already the National flag, not the War flag.
Other examples also include easily accepting Russian sources with no clear information on where it comes from, while rejecting proper secondary sources (or delaying the fixes) on other nations.
Yea guys lets add an Abrams to China, and for my next joke THE F22 COMING NEXT UPDATE FOR CHINA ASWELL 😂
“Fix China’s tech tree
Buff existing chinese vehicles and add more taiwanese vehicles (e.g. M1A2T). China has so much potential and they’re seriously just gonna copy-paste leos???”
Most of us here just call that anti-NATO bias. I don’t think they reversed course on the Japan flag issue but they’ll do almost anything that benefits Russia and China.
Except I’ve spoken to the Chinese community on my end, and they do not see it that way, their Chinese sources are getting rejected equally as hard as us NATO sources. They, too, see Russian bias just about as hard as all of us here.
China should be proud that VT-4 was going to be added to Thai subtree and therefore Japan during the triumph over japan (september 3rd). Why are they taking it offense. A chinese copy paste tank invading another tech tree? wonderful. But no I think it’s all really stupid the nationalist vocal minority.
Anyway I feel like end of the day, the players who can find sources and documents of vehicles are the ones running this game and getting things fixed/implemented and doing a better job than the so-called research team (if there’s any) at Gaijin.
I’m just incredibly confused as to how ANY of this makes sense.
You won’t add the VT4 to the Thai tree because it offends the Chinese community and players that an exported vehicle is getting exported to a different tree. They are mad that they themselves don’t get enough unique domestic designs and that this ruins it for them.
So your solution is to add Singapore, a very heavily NATO-equipped nation, to China?
I just want to point out the hypocrisy here. The US has had to deal with having their vehicles exported out to other nations for Years. Including their best vehicles. When is the last time the US had a completely unique “new” tech tree vehicle? The F-14A? And what about before that? The F-4 was widely exported, as was the F-5, the F-8 went to France as well.
Or we can choose to focus on ground. Is it fair for every nation to get a Leo 2A4/2A5/2A6/2A7? Even though that really is Germany’s only claim to being a nation worth grinding? If I recall correctly, many, many German players were upset about that. What about the fact that Germany has to share the Leo 1s, too? Or how about the US having to share its M60s? M4s? M44s? M55s? M10s? M36s? M48s? M163s? The US really only gets unique MBTs starting at the Abrams Pre-Prototypes (XM-803) and the Abrams series. Almost everything beforehand has a similar model in foreign trees as well. I mean, the solution to every BP lately has been “well copy and paste an American vehicle into another tech tree and call it a premium”.
I have never been a fan of Copy Paste. I was against the original addition of China as a full nation for this reason. Lo and Behold, years later, my concerns still hold true.
Either add the Chinese export vehicles to other nations, or remove every foreign export vehicle from every tech tree in the Game. Please stop with this ‘half and half’ solution that appeases nobody.
Glad to see devs and community managers in here addressing concerns, providing additional clarification or more information. Especially when they are adamant against going to Steam and using that lever. At least we know that lever works though. Its interesting because even moderators seem absent for the most part.
The F-106 isn’t a unique vehicle. The thing was in service for like 40 years. It should have just come to the TT. Unique would be like a South Korean K1A1.
So, are they gonna add the VT-4 to Japan or not? I can’t really get anything out of the OP
Also, if they won’t add the VT-4 to Japan, why are they listening to the Chinese community about this case after not listening to the British community about the Bhishma and later on the Indian tree?
Ehh, the 106 we got really was tailor-made for an event vehicle thanks to the experimental HMD it got. That was a one-off, and I’d rather see two actual production models hit the TT, one with the gun and one without.
But, the reality of being a major weapons manufacturer (like USA) and basically without restrictions on exports (unlike say… japan) is that your vehicles will be bought and used by many countries.
