Do you guys think they will actually add infantry in game? What do you guys think of infantry being added if it is? I know the april fools event and all that stuff was a while ago but still. I dont really know if thats good evidence but the phone password is 2026 and “basement guy” goes outside and its turns into war thunder hinting infantry possibly. Yes yes the event was awhile ago but i just thought of it

Theres been some leaks from snailmine that indicate we may see some kind of infantry in WT.

I think it is definitely a possibility, but I wouldn’t be surprised if it never happened.

But then again, Gaijin loves to add new shiny things instead of fixing inaccuracies and addressing mounting bug reports.

War Thunder has become big enough and gained enough experience in other sectors to add new content into the game. To ensure that war thunder will grow even bigger the game has to expand into other gaming sectors like for example the milsim / battlefield communities.

I personally don’t think that it could happen but that it will happen. With gen 5 aircraft being setup to join wt in the summer of 2026 and the only other big thing thing gaijin could add in the December patch being submarines, we could be looking at a alpha test in the near future.

Them releasing the teaser for infantry on the 31st of March could have been a move to give Gaijin an easy way out if things don’t work out as intended in development and just play it down as an April fool’s joke.
