Hi, how will the infantry work in War Thunder? Will I have to research the entire tech tree from scratch? How much RP will one rifle have? Will the tech tree start from World War II? Can I take a top tier tank and that will raise the tier to top tier?

Most of those things have not been shown yet so at the moment no one knows.
I think they have said that it will start from the Vietnam era but i’m not certain.
They said it will start from Korea so a mix of WW2 era and Cold War tanks will be present
I’m pretty sure they planned to let you be able to take your own tanks, I wouldn’t recommend bringing Korean War or Vietnam era infantry to top tier.
Oh, I can get with that, I was afraid they were going to stick around Cold War. Infantry is another mode I’m looking forward to trying once it releases, as long as it doesn’t get borked. I’m just hoping they don’t forget the Korea-Cold War vehicles that were initially shoved into super low BRs like the Pbv 301. The 301 was an Infantry fighting vehicle after all!
Now that could be a way to inflate the list of upcoming vehicles without copy-paste…

There won’t be any prewar/early WW2s, just tanks used in the Korean War onwards
