Infantry in War Thunder: what are your expectations?

The Peoples Battle Field

Anyway on a more serious note I hope it bring more decals and decorators to unlock in game

I expect it to be unbalanced. Poorly designed maps. Insane grind. A lot of unique cool guns paywalled.

If I can’t play as the jsdf, I’m not going to touch it. Also I’d like to see a combination of enlisted and squad. Squads organization and raw gameplay, with enlisteds progression or whatever. I’m just pulling this out my ass.

I’d also like to see bigger maps then enlisted and smaller maps the squad.

Thanks all for the replies. If first person only then it looks like no Infantry for me then :(

definantly, i’d expect sth like a old Al barash map size, with relative balence in building density

also i do want to have the possibility of running logi and placing supply for deployable wepon and reinforcements, which gives much better playability for mordern war compared to WWII in enlisted

I have my proposal regarding larger map in my post " What do you expect simulator mode of infantry fighting"

I expect a 125 mm HE round to turn infantry into red soup with little crumbs!! If only I had a straw!!

I expect the M2A3 or A4 with TOW-BB missiles.

also it only takes 6.5s to load!

Hey,

A standalone mode that can partly be considered a separate game.

this aged like fine wine

Imma just leave that cope alone then

Cope in the cope cage

Hopefully this means we see some infantry only vehicles like bulldozer or armoured car/truck

Some could easily be added to the base game as they have ATGMs but a lot of the bulldozer kits with there armour and ERA just have gernade launcher and heavy MGs. What stuff like that do you want to see?

I wonder how robots would work in infantry there is the Shturm Robot Tank but that can be a normal tank in game tomorrow it has crew spots still. The RC feature is just something that will come standard in the future.

The drone issue is real now so maybe jammers and fibre optic tech? We have also seen since the 2000s army’s modified RC cars into basic recon and tank killers. Less popular but still out there vs there flying cousins.

Before Gaijin adds planes in they should add the attack drone in. Won’t be 2 op it’s only got 2 missiles

Ik I’m huffing cope, but Infantry is the Belgium subtree’s time to shine. So many weapons, combined with how France already has plenty of variety, but FN could bring a whole host of new toys
It’s just a matter of fact that Gaijin, sadly, is not big on a nation like France
