Again, they didn’t make it, just publish it.
I don’t know what their rationale is. Personally I’m not particularly interested in infantry. But at this point it seems inarguable that it really is coming.

Not sure why it went downhill 100% but i have my thoughts.
I mean, when they launced Enlisted the game was brutaly obvious P2W, and the “ticket” system für equipment was just really bad.
At the same time no “br” matching, so the guy with kar98 played against me using FG42. Not really fair.
And with creating new content behind a paywall… what to say… stupid idea.
Now its different, now they have WT like research for equipment and a BR matchmaker. Also the Paywalled off content is no more.
But the also killed the one soldier mode, which was real fun.
In general there not much variety left in Enlisted, and the rought start will have hurt them a ton.
Its still kinda fun, but the lack of content and good players hurts the game alot. I played a few month ago to check, with some random discord guys… and it was really obvious that crossplay hurts a lot and that you 90% of the time just killed a bot and that some squads are full bot squads.
Oh and the “steam release” incident definitly didnt helpted either
Maybe u want to check out on Darkflow Softwares first before claiming that.
Huh, admittedly Im playing just a month, but dont see any “battlepass-type” progression (for the actual things. Still same-old XP grind for new guns/vics/squads and atrocious silver income)
“A lot” is subjective and doesn’t specify a number or a ratio… Whatever, we are getting nowhere with this.
My bad, I didn’t know. That’s impressive.
I don’t see why someone would leave the game altogether just because there is a gamemode for infantry.
Enlisted has stiff movement, stupid AI, tedious progression, unbalanced nations and a couple other issues. Also, the infantry shown in the trailer was modern, while Enlisted focuses on WW2. Another thing to note is that Gaijin DIDN’T make Enlisted, they just published it. You cannot say in good faith that WT infantry would play the same. As far as I know, Gaijin makes quite a good job modelling vehicles along with recoil and stuff like that. I don’t think the gunplay would feel as stiff as Enlisted.
You treat Enlisted like an extension of WT, which it isn’t. That might be part of why you are so skeptical about the concept.
That’s true. Gaijin refuses to do something that doesn’t directly make them money. However, they chose to work on infantry, so they clearly treat it as a good idea financially. This makes me hope that they actually put effort into making it playable. Otherwise, it really would be a waste of money.
hmmm, might be miss remembering then. I thought that you could go up a few of the lines freely but then quite a few weapons and vehicles needed like premium to get.
yea. Sorry for answering so late i am moving and didn’t have access to a pc/game
so again we got a lot of things that just points to one thing playable infantry because all the stuff we got would make no sense for ai only infantry
Thats just normal battlepass (challenge “stars”, 3 per stage with free and premium reward mixed in), not the main nation-base progression
Go play another game. The core of war thunder is vehicle combat
humans are meat vehicles
It is coming whether you like it or not. Your opinion doesn’t matter as one.
Yea no
This is a game. Player feedback matters
I personally think infantry, unless it’s just AI infantry, is going to be super frustrating.
Guys camping bushes and spotting you all game. You’ll never find them.
Guys quickly turning a corner and firing an AT weapon then quickly ducking back around the corner.
Does it though? A multi billion dollar company does not give a flying “frick” (since you all like being sensitive I can’t curse) so no, it doesn’t matter until review bombs start.
Thermals.
Sure, once you get to a BR that has them.
I think that they won’t add anything before 90s for a bit idk
Although it helps a little, I agree with his points, it just wont mesh well with the game as it currently stands, sorta how CAS sometimes does too, where ground units cant fight it beside one specific vehicle class. Infantry can probably mostly just hide in buildings or trenches and ocassionally lob out grenades disabling tracks or launching AT missiles while the tank cant do too much about it other than give away its position even more by spamming 0.50 cals or smoking.
Although ig we might finally have a realistic use for HESH, bunker buster and all that, which is cool.
I think its good if they make a seperate mode for it rather than stitch it in to the current GRB, if they do that I’m probably going to play it quite a bit as i do think it sounds like a cool concept. Think it would be the only infantry military sim that has realistic damage models for its vehicles rather than health pools.
Use ur machine guns.
Load HE round and blow them up.
You know that else is funny? Those same points (spot camper and in/out covers) can be applied to the existing ground battles as is
