i have a feeling that the whole battlefield like infantry mode was a joke made by gaijin lol , i really hope its true but i dont think any of the mods have confirmed it , so im afraid that we got played by gaijin : (

I hope beyond hope that this is an April Fools joke. I play this game for the vehicles. If I wanted a first person shooter, then there are dozens upon dozens of options, including Enlisted which IS this game with infantry. There is no reason to have two games that do the exact same thing. I came to War Thunder from World of Tanks because WT is just better. More realism, everything on the vehicles works and we can even make skins for the individual vehicles, something I have really enjoyed. Turning this into a FPS ruins the vehicle aspect game entirely. PLEASE don’t do that. I don’t want to have to go back to WOT for my vehicle vs vehicle gaming. If others like the Infantry aspect, you have other options to chose from, especially Enlisted. Don’t ruin what works. I don’t want to have to leave this game.

I saw someone post on the reddit like a few hours ago this might be due to the fact that the EU is updating it’s ratings. I haven’t double checked it, but what he was saying is that because it includes gambling, Warthunder will automatically be raised to M for Mature for the EU. Maybe this is the reason why they’re finally giving it a go?
Don’t worry, if its real it will no doubt be in a separate mode. the current maps in the game do not accommodate infantry in any way, for example building interiors, so an infantry mode would require more detailed, larger scale maps like the one featured in the trailer.

That map is definitely a new one, right? I didn’t recognize anything in it. Even all the assets seemed new. It looks more in line with their modern style of map creation to me, like the new updated maps.
Basically everything in the trailer is new, aside from the vehicles and some assets.

thats just roblox mtc4 atm except that the infantry to tank ratio is still way too low
Seems like a lot of work for just an april fools, unless they’re actually going ahead with infantry…
An insane amount of money for models effects, the map, all the characters, etc for a 3 minute long video that’s just advertising a joke. I am kinda worried tho since nobody has confirmed or denied anything yet.
