I wanna assume that it was either a Gaijin goof or meant to instill more confusion around the event, either way it’s supposedly a WWI event with modern trailer
The trailer is an announcement of plans for infantry. The April Fools event is different from what we saw in the trailer in that it is set in WW1.

Great news, I just hope it’s not April Fools 😀 I just hope the gameplay will be a level above Enlisted. Otherwise I’m really looking forward to it, it’ll finally be battles with everything.

Oh, my God… considering how April Fools’ events have typically been used to test out potential gameplay mechanics and features, as well as gauge player reactions, I can’t overstate how excited I am for this and what it potentially means for the future of War Thunder!
