Looks like another copy paste. Not very interesting.

well that’s why this would be better off as a sub-tree rather than a full tech tree. And it could function similarly to Norway in-game where only a few vehicles are put in rather than the whole lot

Even though this is a suggestion for Indonesian ground sub TT I feel like posting some Indonesian Aircraft more specifically AT-33’s & F-51’s here

t-33-04

You can tell by both images that Indonesia used different secondary weapon loadouts for said aircraft like the Oerlikon 80cm rockets found on the Israeli Spitfires and Swiss Hunters as well as a different Napalm Bomb

Perhaps, an option for Japan? I’m not exactly sure.

That good idea, but what would be the point though. It is still just copy and paste right? Truth of the matter is, many modern tanks build on the same proven designs, it would be so much cooler to see more unique desings, for that I believe you have to go back to ealier development of tanks than the Mid/late cold war

well asking a nation to spend half(exaggeration here) of their annual spending just to make a new tank is rather difficult right?
it’s easier to spend less by buying an already tested and tried platform. rather than making new scheme, prototyping, testing, producing.

for Indonesia specifically I think it would be hard to find earlier designs purely because the nation only gained “proper” independence in 1949, and even after that they are still fighting wars with many different rebellions and nations, such as the british, dutch, and CIA to a lesser extent, so they didnt have a lot of time to develop vehicles, instead they mostly imported AFVs and light tanks.

In addition heavy tanks is generally not really the focus, as the philosophy is more on being light for amphibious operations. This excerpt is pretty good at explaining the situation:

Spoiler

Indonesian army always operate the light tank weighing not more than 20 tones due to the limitation of our road infrastructure and the nature of Indonesian wet soil. TNI still operates AMX-13 and Scorpions, while Marine Corps rely on the old Sovyet era, the amphibious PT-76. They had acquire the more modern BMP-2 from Ukraine and still waiting for the delivery of 20 BMP-3F from Russia.

Indonesia doesn’t face those kind of threat [near-peer war with other nations]. The only possible land invasion could be from Malaysia’s North Borneo, Sabah and Serawak States. But they must cope with the Kalimantan’s dense forest and swamp, an environment not suitable for a main battle tank. The other land border is in Papua with the worse condition of mountainous terrain and the thickest tropical jungle.

Most of Indonesian terrain does not support the concept of main battle tank. Even the light tank still can only operates on the normal road if they don’t want to be stuck in the paddy field’s mud or swamp. Indonesian Army doesn’t need full scale MBT but it needs a special lightweight tank to sustain such MBT role, engaging any enemy’s MBT threat in the jungle, swamp, paddy fields or in the middle of palm plantation around Sumatera and Kalimantan island.

right, that is exactly what i am talking about. That is my point. So what do you mean to say? Do you want more vehciles that are the same but has a different flag slapped to the side of it?

yeah they also have quite an extensive air vehicles that can help with the sub-tree as well, surprised not to see that one in the forum though

Here are some planes+helicopters (BR and image is just placeholder):

it is a copy paste because a real world situation. you complaining about copy and paste is irrelevant because German and Sweden gonna have similar tank Leo 2A7/8 and Strv 122, oh hey they also have T-80 there. you complaining here. make 0 impact.

I am not complaining, excuse me for not agreeing with you lmao. You keep making my point. It is frustrating. How do i make it get thru to you? Exactly because mordern vehciles are so similar, i think it would be more interesting to add vehicles that are more distrinct or even unique. I beleive that means adding less modern vehciles. I am not complaing about modern vehciles exising, how did you even get that notion? lol. I guess from you not listening to what i am saying.

Go ahead, tell me 3rd time why mordern vehicles are copy paste lmao

yes. that’s a real world problem, this is inevitable since people/nation choose path of least resistance.
i too want a unique vehicle especially for modern part. then again Gaijin aiming for “realistic” approach on their making, the modern part? impossible. the older? i agree. but here, in Indonesia most conflict in the past was predominantly guerilla/infantry. like the other person said:

YES! holy shit get it thru your brain!!! Then Indonesia (in my opinion) should not be added! Are you picking up, what i am laying down!? In contrast to your proposel, i am pretty stoked about czechoslovakia being added and the prospect of more romanian and even Yugoslavian vehicles being added. Atleast the ones that are “distinct or even unique”

then we have to agree to disagree.

Seems to me you really just want indonesia being added for what ever reason, not concerning what it would provide for War thunder

By any chance, are you from Indonesia? lol

no, i want to Asian nation to get into War Thunder, filling the empty trees in the game.

is it even matter? and yes.
