At the moment, we have two self-propelled anti-aircraft vehicles that have 2 (Tor-M1) and 4 (Pantsir-S1) radar channels, that help to fire missiles automatically, by selecting an aircraft, pressing the hotkey for automatic turret’s targeting and firing a rocket. Once pressed, the target icon pops up at the top of the aircraft, meaning it was locked by the automatics, but the issue is that for some weird reason, it works only in arcade battles.
So, my suggestion is to implement this feature for both realistic and simulator battles, as it is not an arcade feature - the automatic lock works just fine in any gamemode, but for some strange reason, an indicator of the working system is showed only in arcades. As the radar lock in game can tell the range to the target, its speed and so on, why would a small indicator not be a thing after all?
Autoturrets in realistic and simulator battles working just fine, but not showing the indicator itself:
So, I don’t really think this thing will be a bad thing to add, as it’s nothing big - just making it possible to see the autoturret indicator in any gamemode there is in game right now. It isn’t a groundbreaking buff, but a small QOL feature, that will help anyone who uses this mechanic to see if the plane got locked
