Indian Mig29 to UK tree and Rafale

I can speak as a GB main.

Most english jets have been added to other trees but as better versions. While being very overtiered at the same time.
Hunters
Meteors
Etc etc

The jets we inherit from others are never the best version… phantoms, gripen etc etc.

Outside of the F3 and the typhoon(im.reaching even with the F3) the tree has very little that even competes…

At this point GB has nothing unique to make anyone want to grind it…

The Swiss Hunter going to Germany while the Canadian Leo also going to Germany is just hypocrisy.

The Aussie Abrams going to America while the Pig going to Britain also is hypocrisy.

And then there’s the Skink/Ram debacle.

Consistent inconsistency.

Adats

Well adats is an acronym, so it isn’t really one word

What about the ADATS?

True but a lot of nations have a Leo 2 too so why not give these to other nations too?

If anything it should have been in UK tree
US never fielded it ,Canada did
So complaining for anything else going to other nations is mute point once you look at adats

No because the XM1069 was an American tested system. It’s literally an M2 Bradley.

I mean it’s a swiss system does that mean it goes to Germany?

F3 would be a really solid aircraft if they Fixed BOL. In fact with the exception of GR1 (which is technically missing BOL) you could dramatically buff and thus make most of our Rank VIII aircraft competitive by fixing BOL. A few others need a little more than just that, like the F3 Late needs Phimat too, but we’d have a really solid set of aircraft.

Want decent dogfighters? Gripen, Typhoon and Harrier Gr7

Want (what should be) decent SARH trucks, F3, F3 late and FA2

Want to base bomb? Tornado Gr1/GR4 (and I have been having an absolute blast at the moment in the GR4)

and thats without our missing stuff. Harrier Gr9A for example is going to be hilarious to use.

So. I dont necessarily agree, I think we actually have one of the more unique top tiers, just Gaijin is currently artificially nerfing it and we are missing several really really good additions that will be an absolute laugh to use

Is BOL that bad? Never noticed a difference.

The harriers are fun and would be great if they had a little more power. Its dissapointing. They are slow top end so wouldnt really hurt/ be OP. Great off the line but then dead.

The tornado IRL can out- turn a phantom and stays wirh a f14 for 2 turns. Neither true ingame. The F3 slaps but 1 vs 1 vs any other jet at BR and you are pretty much dead.

Phantoms are the worst but keep 12.0

Hunter is great. But 9.7 and no flares just bacause it gets 4 x 1km wobble missiles. Keep the missiles, it needs flares

The jaguar being so bad hurts the tree the most IMO. No F5/ MiG21 type fighter throughout. Why is this air frame/ performance so bad? It looks like it shouldnt turn into a brick after 1 turn. Its like the J35 delta wing for no apparent reason.
10.7… is just lols. Like most of the GB jets under perform but over tiered.

Very frustating tree, i deffinitly wouldnt recomend learning the game with it like i did

Yes

They are underperforming significantly. @MatrixRupture has a load of Reports for their FM in and others have reports for various other aspects too.

Yeah, that’s Britain tax

You shouldn’t be turn fighting in them. They have one of the best radars in the game. The main aim is to slap with the Skyflash in BnZ runs.

Destroys in SB at the moment

Yeah SRAAMs are a mess. Multiple major bugs reports have been sat pending for 3 years now.

But sub-9.7 is a compressed mess

It was originally built to be a supersonic trainer and then bodged into the role of a ground attacker. (The only place the Comms panel would fit was upside down over the pilots shoulder)

So it was never great, but I rather enjoy them as a base bomber in ASB. Actually kinda looking forward to getting the Jaguar GR3A

But the Gr1A should probably be 10.3

Bug reports for fixing BOL and restoring it to at least what it was before the nerf.

Though it should be large calibre, short burn “flares” and standard Calibre chaff. We’ve never had full strength BOL in game.

To make it even stronger, but its misleading to say it isn’t already great

In all BOL carriers, I use periodic CM release when dropping BOL to drop enough flares or chaff to do anything.

My average in the Typhoon for example is about 20 chaff per missile. (but can be up to a 100 chaff fairly easily)

If you are defending against an IR threat in a Harrier like the Gr7 or FA2, forget it. BOL Doesnt work. At all. This is due to both how Ahistorically hot the Harriers are and how ahistorically weak BOL is.

BOL needs to be fixed, BOL should never have been fake nerfed like it was. Its time for us to actually get BOL modeled properly and finally get our decent CMs.

Periodic flaring is mostly unnecessary and is likely wasting more flares than you’re actually needing to use. But then with up to 320 of them, a few wasted here and there isn’t exactly a big deal.

And multiple drops of chaff is common for all calibres because its not as simple as just breaking the lock of an IR missile.

All in all though, the BOL pods are very reliable in the jets I’ve used and the large pool of countermeasures is a substantial benefit.

My average in the Tornado GR4 to defeat an AMRAAM is 2.

My Average in any BOL Carrier is 20+

BOL needs to be fixed and I want the Tornado F3 Late to get a Phimat pod to go alongside those fixed BOL.

Only if they were actually 1 for 1 to regular CMs. They aren’t You need 4 chaff to match the performance of a singel regular chaff and flaring with BOL is usually just not worth trying.

Typhoon I run 64 LCM flares and 320 chaff simply because BOL Doesnt work against IRCCM in my experience and when im defending against a threat, I switch on periodic CM release for chaff only and will drop at least 20, propbably actually more like 40 or 50 per threat.

Sounds like confirmation bias

Why?

Typhoon should be able to defeat an AMRAAM or any ARH or SARH threat significantly easier than a Tornado GR4, but its not. BOL litereally has 1/4 the chaff mass it should have.

This isnt confirmation bias, this is provable fact. Bug report linked above.

BOL chaff should have 100% the same performance as regular chaff, but its 1/4 the strength, and with how chaff usually works, the difference is far more extreme than that.

Not really 100% just 18% less instead of the 75% less than it currently have.
