Incorrect PL-8B Placement on J-11B Wingtip Pylons and Secondary Hardpoints

Dear Developers and Community Managers,

I recently noticed during gameplay that the PL-8B missiles mounted on the left wingtip pylon of the J-11B are not symmetrically aligned with those on the right wingtip pylon. After reviewing publicly available reference photos, I found that the positioning of the PL-8B on all four hardpoints exhibits varying degrees of misalignment. This discrepancy becomes even more apparent when comparing the placement to the PL-8B mounted on the adjacent inner lightweight hardpoint (as illustrated in the attached images).

For further clarity, I have included a reference photo of a PLA Air Force J-11B. In reality, the lower edge of the PL-8B’s first retaining band should align precisely with a marked line on the pylon. Additionally, there are several other visual reference points that can be used to verify the missile’s correct mounting position. Due to my limited proficiency in English, I have annotated these details in the accompanying images for easier understanding.

While this issue does not affect the in-game performance of the J-11B or the PL-8B, I would greatly appreciate it if War Thunder—as a leading benchmark in military simulation games—could address this in a future update. Thank you for your time and consideration.

Best regards,
一夜千里孙元良

In order to avoid any potential occlusion of the real picture by my labeling, I am attaching the original picture again.
