Is there any updates on the incorrect POV of the pilots? The bug is present on many jets, especially some more recent ones, most obvious being the J10 where half the pilot is inside the seat, this has been a long known bug and to me it seems like quite obvious, any updates from developers?
I’m fairly sure the cockpit POV is relative to where the gunsight is. It leads to some interesting issues where a pilots primary viewpoint is either too high or low.
In many aircraft you feel very short, like the A4s, A10s, J29s, and many other aircraft. The pov is also offset in one direction in most WWII German and Italian aircraft.
But if you look at the X-ray of J10 and JF17, the pilots are literally glitched in their seats, instead of sitting on them, which leads to the HUD not being able to be viewed properly as it is too low.
Dude I HATE this midget POV. How do we go about making this known for the devs? Or do you @Surbaissemaxxing think this should be done via bugreport? I mean I don´t have time to bug report 1000 planes. Majority of the planes I played are affected.
2 examples below. The JH-7A is the worst offender. It´s the reason I went on the forums to complain today.
- J-10A
The notch in HUD gets in the way because the engineers did not count that the plane would be operated by 120cm midgets.
I raised my POV by 50cm via OpenTrack. Though this makes HUD completely intelligible because it is tilted down.
- JH-7A
Feels like I am a child in a bathtub.↓
Again raised my POV by as much as the game let me, until I hit the limit and even then I think it´s not enough. And again, the HUD is now unusable, but at least you can see outside of the plane and what you are bombing lmao.↓
I ain’t a Tech Mod, but I think that should be going to bug reports, don’t quote me on that tho
Understand. I would appreciate if you could bring this to tech mod´s attention, as I don´t really know who it is. You were the only one I saw active in the general thread.
