It will likely even out once to novelty wears off, most players finish spading the SPAAs and they finally blow off all the repressed impotent rage against CAS, that last one might take awhile tough.

We have a good number of spaa with fnf missiles. All are effective within their range.

They won’t do a tank-only mode as that would hurt premium sales (premium helis and CAS planes).
There also is no need for one. They could just balance things properly instead of adding A2G weapons that can be launched without having to enter the engagement range of anti air systems.

There IS need for one.
Literally, this is the biggest request that is being posted constantly since 2014 when they released GRB. It is a matter of time.
And don’t talk about “they will never do it” - when PzIV and T-34 were top tier in game, people said that “they will never add cold war vehicles”, yet here we are playing with modern stuff.

The more realistic reason why it will most probably not come is because the existence of it would make every single non-gun SPAA completely worthless since theres no air targets apart from like, recon drones.
Gaijins “vision” of a combined arms game that they were talking about is about as reliable as them saying that they will never add premium top tier vehicles. But the SPAA being redundant is probably one of the main reasons why a ground only mode is most probably not coming.

Buddy its not my fault you dont understand how to play SPAA. Yes, you can stay in spawn, put TELs next to you and then just fire them off at whatever appears. Guess what, youre the easiest target known to man to kill.
A smart SPAA player (something you clearly arent if you think that everyone just presses LMB and nothing more) spreads out the TELs and TADS from each other and moves around if the situation calls for it. The vehicles are either massive (SPYDER, SLM) and/or lack any modicum of armor where a single HE shell or JDAM or anything will instantly kill it.
Its not my fault youre incompetent when it comes to CAS nor know how to play SPAA beyond playing like a pantsir, afking in spawn and then being surprised when single light tank rushes you or someone lobs a JDAM, Kh38, Kh29, hammer, maverick or anything with more than just 10kg of TNT near you.

Don’t bring spaa into TO.
Use them in combined arms mode.
Same as you do not brind helicopters to play in ARB.

Why would a tank only mode widely intended to sit next to and not replace the current ground rb mode hurt premium sales ? You would be able to play both, both modes would co-exist giving players the choice to play where they feel happiest

One benefit I’m seeing of the new spaa, is that they’re excellent at shooting down scout drones.
This means less players doing the scouting thing to reduce their plane sp cost.

Because the thinking is this:
If you are dying to CAS, you will want to grind air, so you buy a premium for air and go to town grinding instead of grinding each individual plane. Another reason to buy the premium plane is to use it for CAS itself. So then instead of buying a $70 tank, you also buy a $70-$80 plane to compliment your lineup.
So either way, you’re still buying two tech trees of premiums.

I’m just curious, how do you scout with drones? I know you can point at people and say, “person over here” but can you actively use the scout button?
And the old spaa had problems shooting down scout drones? Oh, I forgot, you had to aim the missile with the mouse. And with some you had to visually search for them in the sky. Well, yeah, that was too complicated. Sorry.
