[Would you like to see the improved Secondary Selection Screen in game?]
Yes, this would be a great idea
Yes, but I would also would suggest this as well
No, I will explain why

I’ve been thinking for a while, going back in history and looking at old DOS games like Gunship 2000 and other games that used to have a weapon loadout screens, before you commenced a mission and it got me thinking.
I would like to introduce a few Quality of life improvements for the Secondary Weapons Loadout Screen, shown below is an image F-16A of the US Tech Tree, the idea is to introduce real-time adding and removing of each weapon on its corresponding weapon station
As you can see from the screen shot the F-16A has a clean Loadout, as the weapons are added i would like a few areas to get looked at if possible, first and foremost, it would be nice to see ground crew animated and bring out the weapon and mount it onto the plane, if this is not possible then i would like the ordnance to show when clicked in the correct station chosen, for example i will add 2x AIM-9J’s to Station 1 and 2 (left hand Side of the Plane) and a rack of 3x AGM-65B’s on the 3rd Station this in turn would generate this image…
As you can see this is done in real time, not only that as you add the required weapons to each station, the information for each weapon would be listed on the right hand side and as it gets added to the list naturally grows larger (only on new weapons added / not duplicates) we can overcome this by adding a scroll bar on the right has shown
As the plane gets its stations fully setup by the player, more information is added to the right etc., until we get the finished result (shown below)
WE could incorporate the Realtime store weapon addon package with more customization, when you click on the store location it would zoom in and give you store options for single dual or triple weapon options as well as MAWS etc. etc., all animated, would be great, thanks for your suggestion +1
feel rushed unfinished its ugly, it doesn’t remember how i sized it.In place where cross to exit should be is an arrow to make it smaller so instead closing it i make it smaller. I just hate it im sorry. Would be nice to have option to switch back to older ui.
This kind of relates to the old suggestion, but can they also add individual stores per pylon/hardpoint?
For example the F-8E has two Sidewinder mounting points. But in reality it is actually four, two on each side. However, both are treated as “one” by the game.
Because of this, I don’t have the option to take more than one type of Sidewinder per pylon. You may ask, “why would you want to do this?” And there really isn’t a reason except for customization.
Pictured is an AIM-9B (top) and an AIM-9D (bottom).
It is possible to take multiple Sidewinders of different kinds on these pylons. And it wouldn’t be a hardware limit either because as far as I know the FCS of every plane that is Sidewinder capable does not differentiate between types of Sidewinders, only the “Heatseeker” and “Radar” missiles on the craft. So by extension this would also apply to aircraft like the F-4, F-20, F-100, A-10s, F-105, among others. I believe this also extends to the PACT aircraft as well, as iirc their FCS works the same way and does not differentiate between missile variants, only “types” of missiles.
So the stores in the game should be like this:
Separating the weaponry hardpoints into the low, left, and right slots to allow individual weapons on each. And it should be like this for any aircraft that has dual weapons pylons, to allow ease of customization.
Along with that, separating the “two” missile slots into one would allow for loadouts like this, with two Sidewinders and one Maverick underneath.
