Improved Naval EC as a permanently available mode for naval battles

The current mode disproves that. Players target one another as much as they target AI.

False. More space means less player density, which would be a blessing in and of itself. It would allow smaller vessels to pick their fights or avoid too strong opponents if they are aware enough of their surroundings. And nobody said it will take 15 minutes. In EC you can pick how far away you want to spawn from the action.

As for mines, it would absolutely make them more viable. They will never be meta, but they might just become something players actually equip at all.

You completely shit on my idea without bringing any useful ideas to the table yourself and you flat out lie about the reality of the current naval mode.
You then have the nerve to legitimately make yourself sound like an expert (in the “well actually” sense) on things while stating information that is provably made up, like this:

In general FPS terms (which includes WT) objectives exist purely as points of interest to which players are drawn, forcing player interaction. In other words, they’re there because often in pure TDM people just “camp in corners” or otherwise don’t take the initiative to move, because there’s nothing motivating them to; defence inherently will have the advantage after all.

Luckily other players here have already explained how this and most other points of yours are lies and have nothing to do with the reality of ship gameplay in War Thunder or historical accuracy.

Your comment was the definition of unhelpful

Edit: Also if you think you were polite, I have news for you

Glad you like my suggestion! And yes, that’s about exactly how I imagine things to turn out ^^

Would love it, was super disappointed when I found out that I couldn’t access it anymore, current naval spawns are garbage designed by a chimp

My first post on the forums just to say yes I am begging for improved Naval EC.
I’m trying to grind through boats to take a break from ground and air and the game mode is what I struggle with the most. It just feels way less varied than Ground and Air matches, and any extra objectives or changes that could change that feel from game to game would be a big help.

yup :/

And it being hidden in the other game modes section also doesn’t help its popularity

Imo, the Devs are REALLY sleeping on naval EC, it has so much potential, certainly more than Regular RB.

As a veteran naval warfare enthusiast, I wholeheartedly endorse replacing this toxic capture-point meta with EC (Enduring Confrontation) as the standard Naval RB mode. Players crave authentic combined arms operations - commanding submarines for covert reconnaissance, directing carrier air wings for strike packages, coordinating anti-air screens with destroyers, and engaging in decisive fleet actions. Not this brainless merry-go-round of “capture zone A/B/C” that reduces majestic warships to floating checkers pieces.

The current test server’s “improvements” prove the naval team still fundamentally misunderstands their own game. Instead of creating immersive naval theaters (convoy raids, amphibious assaults, strategic bombardment), they obsess over preventing “exploits” - as if punishing players for creative tactics could compensate for their own design failures. The truth is stark: players abandon naval not because of “unfair advantages,” but because the mode stubbornly refuses to deliver the grand naval warfare fantasy promised by War Thunder’s marketing.

EC provides the solution we’ve demanded for years: dynamic frontlines requiring actual naval strategy, multi-role combat allowing every ship class to shine, and progression systems rewarding tactical mastery over mindless zerging. Let carriers conduct deep strikes against enemy airfields. Let battleships duel across 20km while destroyers lay smoke screens. Let submarine wolfpacks ambush supply convoys. This is the combined arms symphony that will revive naval mode, not another iteration of “capture the floating circle” with different particle effects.

Wake up, naval team. Your players are literally blueprinting the salvation of your sinking game mode. Every hour spent “fixing” artificial meta issues is an hour wasted ignoring the treasure trove of EC gameplay data showing exactly what keeps players engaged. We don’t want bandaids - we demand the full naval warfare experience War Thunder’s technology can clearly support. The age of capture point tyranny must end.

only problem i dont like is in ec i gotta spawn in a destroyer and then a cruiser then i can spawn a battle ship like why do i gotta do that its silly if your actually trying to grind out mods before end of the match and it takes decades to reach the enemy in a dread nought game play is way to slow
