Red team consistently stomp due to overpoered vehicles, like the BMPT, M28NM, Z10ME or SU30. Spawning Spaa against these aircraft has no effect at all, even more so if players haven’t even unlocked those spaas.
At brackets where the redfor side does not get overpowered vehicles it is impossible to find games due to lack of players.
Various nation also only get objectivle worst vehicles than others, like japan only gets thevehicles with 105mm canons while other nation all get tanks armed with 120mm canons, often even with the best shells for those canons (3bm60).
Proposed solution: ban all aircraft from ground sim matchmaking. Then, rework the matchmaker to avoid the problems I just mentioned.
Maybe if the game mode doesn’t suck major hindquarters, more people would play it. Make it the tank only gamemode people o’ so want.
That would make both sim players and ploayers wo dislike cas happy, it is a two in one solution.

To add to this, I only have japan ground research and I wanted to play SIM. Gess what, at top tier I am stomped by BMPT-s, at low tier I am constantly somped by M18-s. I gave up on warthunder, this game is [Comsec redacted].
It is very bad right now.
Japan SPAA type 3 is also not good at all so that doesn’t help. Thing is Japan now has the su30mkm CAS, maybe not alot of people are using it to have an effect.
I would love this. Not sure about WWII but when CAS gets access to IR FnF missiles, where’s the difficulty in flying the cockpit when they have a whole view of the map on their screen with the touch of a button.
If ground sim was just tanks only, that would be so fun.
If you had researched air, the su30mkm would be op for you in ground sim too. Though pantsir and BUK are great at taking out KH38 but still.

I only have ground vehicles, all of japan and i think britain up to tier 4, but my british crews are absolute garbage. I dont like air gameplay to begin with and in simulator it becomes way way harder (except mi28 gameplay, that is just braindead point and click adventure). So yes, in sort I am majorly at a disatvantage becouse of factor outside of my infuence.
Sim matchmaking is just a mess in general. Both air sim and ground sim have very obvious flaws in which vehicles get to play.
Just one big example:
You can only play the Chieftain MK10 at extremely high sim brs. In which case you will be fighting against BMPTs and 2S38s.

just tried to play top tier ground sim with britain , literally the entire enemy team spawned in SU-34s and MI28 , killed our entire team in 1 minute and won the game. i presume this is the same as every game played because i am not touching top tier sim for a long while now

what i like to do is first spawn the sky sabre, sit behind a building and watch them struggle to find me as they get 16 CAMM’s fired at them. depending on the map ofc, but its highly effective.
It also helps that the black night gets aps so you can at least enjoy your ground gameplay abit before getting killed.
You have to play tactically, sometimes you can wait for a minute to allow the helis and planes to climb and get cocky before spawning in
Since the addition of LDIRCM helis I stopped playing Ground Sim, very sad, I usually played this gamemode to grind, even like it better than Ground RB.
Its stup- you need to waste 2/3 spawns just to take out CAS. Because if you spawn multi vehicle spaa, you cant do anything against mi28nm/z10me, but if you spawn saclos spaa, then you can not do anything against Su-30sm/Su-34 spamming kh-38s. While the red team spam CAS, they just need to send 1 tank to capture the points.
Yeah sure, blue team has AH-64E, but the Pantsir works way better at intercepting munitions, helicopters and even jets, in compare with blue team saclos spaa such as ADATS or flarakrad. And blue team plane armament compared to the kh38 its useless (agm65 and glide bombs slow ass), only exception if you have japanese players hat use su30mkm.
Absolute truth nuke.
And some people have the audacity to say things like this when they’ve barely played 10 games at toptier
