Impossible penetration

Still it doesn’t explain why single pixel higher to edge of the armor magically reduce armor by 70mm…

If there is a bug then it might be explained by the plate behind the UFP start at that pixel, so under the pixel it only sees the UFP and above the pixel it sees UFP and an extra plate and maybe bugs out in the calculations due to an armor seam. This is just a guess though.

Wow, the increasingly common “You get killed because the game decides it.” Don’t try to find meaning in this game; it was lost years ago.

Some things you might want to consider:
First of all, player level does not matter

Any of the “analysis” you do is going to be based off of
your ping/pl/latency, so . . . comparing it to a live action game
scenario, it is not going to be the same.
The players shooting at you and the ones you shoot at can have
wildly varying numbers in that regard.

In game “hit/kill cam” views are going to be your least reliable
Your Replay, while better, can still be off, as it is based off the info for
YOUR acct not all players
The Server Replay will be your most accurate replay feature in the game.

All that being said, what you see, what the other player sees and what
the game sees may not always be the same same . . .

I play AB, we get a crosshair, a green crosshair means it
“should” penetrate while red indicates a non-penetration shot.
I bounce/ricochet greens and get KaBlooie kills from reds.
Not all the time, but sometimes . . . a small percentage.

Basically, no absolutes, no guarantees . . . and it doesn’t matter how many times
you try to reproduce the shot in hit analysis . . “individual results may vary”

This is the way . . .
Another thing is . . . you do not get “do overs”, a day in court, or a tribunal
There are no reversals, what’s done is done

“Acceptance is the key to Serenity”

If the game says you survived, you get away . . .
If the game says you died, you got got . . . .

Nothing wrong with looking at things to try to learn/figure things out
so as not to make similar mistakes in the future, this is a good thing.

However, one can dwell on something too long and allow it to
cloud you thoughts & judgement and then it becomes detrimental.

Looking at all that has been posted it is easy for me to see that this
is so close as to be very difficult to tell exactly what or how it happened.
So, in the end, you just have to assume the game is right, because . . . well, it is

Angles are a particularly touchy topic to me, as I see many
assuming that they know “exact angles” in the game.
Thing is, as good as it looks, it is not rendered in 3D, everything is 2D, so
height + width . . no depth. This makes seeing “true angles” next to impossible
for the human eye. The analysis can give those numbers, but really hard to see.

I’m sorry you got killed, I am not however, the least bit surprised . . .
T-34-85s are very good and I use them regularly because of that . .
Jumbos can be killed really easy from several attack angles, except . .
not so much from the front. But your incident shows . . . it can happen
