Hello everyone,
I want to address the recent changes to the NF-5A premium jet and highlight some important legal and community points that everyone should be aware of.
According to the official Gaijin Store Policy (Section 7.2):
“By acquiring a license for In-Game Items, the User gains access to certain digital content and the right to use it within the confines of in-game mechanics. Changes to the characteristics, design, or functionality of In-Game Items should not be interpreted as alterations to their performance, condition, or quality.”
You can read the full policy and terms here:
However, this statement contradicts the fact that the advertised explicit characteristic of the NF-5A — 60 standard and 30 large-caliber infrared flares — has been reduced in reality after purchase. This is not a mere game balance tweak but a degradation of advertised product features, which were a key factor in the decision to buy.
This is an issue of consumer rights. In the EU and many other jurisdictions, changing the fundamental and advertised features of a product after purchase without proper notification or consent may trigger the right to a refund or compensation, as it breaches fair trading laws and consumer protection regulations.
Gaijin’s refusal to provide refunds under these circumstances is both legally questionable and unethical from a consumer rights perspective. Ignoring this sets a worrying precedent for how premium digital products can be silently nerfed without recourse.
Furthermore, I want to emphasize to the community and moderators:
- Moderators do not have the right to close or hide active and valid discussions on important consumer issues like this, especially when the topic affects a large portion of the player base purchasing premium content.
- Transparency, respect for consumer rights, and open dialogue are essential for trust in this community and the game.
I urge everyone affected by the NF-5A flare nerf to voice your concerns, request refunds citing official policies and consumer protection laws, and keep this discussion alive for visibility and proper attention.
Let’s stand for fair treatment and ensure our voices are heard.
Thank you.
