Tanks Arcade is too hard. Players are required to understand the physics of trajectories. That isn’t a very Arcade Experience. Understanding how to lead targets while on the move or How HE rounds may arc and drop. Why rounds seem to travel through hills when they’re just firing over them. It’s a lot for new players to absorb.
Players in arcade should be able to point their crosshairs at a vehicle, and have the round directed at the enemy by their crews, as it is done in the recent Naval Arcade Aiming revamp. Like ships, tanks are crewed vehicles, and so the precedence is there. Whether stationary, or driving at full flank, their crews are the real operators of the vehicle, not the players. Allow the crews to direct the rounds.
Naval Arcade got it right by implementing an aiming system that makes all the calculations for you. People who want to aim manually can play Realistic. Arcade shouldn’t make you have to consider your speed, their speed, or altitude of your gun. Please make all Arcade Gunnery the Same as Naval Arcade (I point to the NAB aiming experience because it’s the best to explain what I’m hoping we can see as the default mode in Tanks Arcade).
Poll suggesting that players should have agency in aiming. That is to say, that players in Arcade Matches should have to aim for themselves to hit a target, rather than use aimbots. Do you agree? Then you vote yes. If you disagree and think aimbotting should be in arcade matches, vote no.
