Why, in the update, where gaijin adds every possible flag in the game for nations, but they completely remove the Imperial Japan flag from all vehicles, is it fair that Russia can have 3 versions of itself, but Japan loses its main one? Also, where is Taiwan’s flag? If Gaijin is truly apolitical, they should add all of them and not cherry-pick. It looks so stupid when you look at the Japanese navy and the Yamato is connected with the modern-day Japan…

Ok, so first off what people think of as “the flag of Imperial Japan” is actually the naval ensign. The national flag of Japan during WW2 was a plain red dot on a white background.
However, what you absolutely can criticize Gaijin for is the inconsistency. How come Japan had to switch from a military flag into the national flag, yet Republic of China is not allowed to have theirs?
Currently vehicles from Republic of China is represented with their army flag, and Gaijin has ruled you cannot use military flags in the customization feature. It doesn’t seem like Gaijin wants ROC to have their national flag either, so to my mind it looks like they’re being kept out on purpose.
I agree, if it was up to me there’d be as many flags as possible to choose from. It is a client-side feature after all, and it’s up to the user to decide which flags they want to use.

Imperial Naval Ensign they lost, they gained the Japanese National Flag. I think its fair.
They were under the same national flag.

Because the “Rising Sun” flag was/is always cooler than the plain old “meatball” flag.
