I’m talking/recommending ASB as I feel it solves most (and introduces some new - render, economy, captured/lend-lease IFF, one death leavers) issues with ARB for prop tier gameplay, not speaking of ARB itself.
Altho idk how jet gameplay changes between event and non-event periods, I fly warbirds usually.
In my opinion arcade is the most ideal mode. Spawn as much as you can, bases with much more health and tickets actually matter. It’s as if WT was designed for arcade air mode.

Air sim you can spawn as much as you can, including the same plane. That’s how I get 2 hour long games flying nothing but Mustang Ia or Bf109 F4/G14.
Base health I dunno how it compares, I don’t really bomb so never checked. However on tickets - tickets is the only way to win.
There’s quite a few thousand tickets, and a kill is around or less than a hundred (idk exact values - only that it’s miniscule). Whereas completing objectives - ignoring the ticketbleed from individual deaths - taking out an A.I bomber/attacker formation has a pretty serious impact. My last measurement that I actually wrote down had tickets drop from 7425 to 6675 after the “Objective complete” pops up. Ground targets (tanks, howitzers, SPAA) also are impactful - to the point I occasionally strap some bombs or try strafing runs when we’re near the end to push the ticket advantage for a bit more SL income. Air superiority objectives are kinda TDM (planes fly to a fixed point on map, try to maintain numerical superiority for period of time to capture the point), but they feel better than ARB furballs.
I liked it somewhat for the first few matches, but I ended up getting tired quickly, hahah. I guess it’s just not what I look for on a videogame.
Having to rely and manually search for matches on the server browser considering time zones, full/empty servers and community events, being practically forced to use mic and coordinate so deeply with others, lots of empty walking/driving moments, way too long matches… I personally seek something more casual; being able to press 1 button to find me a match automatically at any time, be able to just hop into a match and simply play without headaches, hahah.
And something that gets me too; having player commander/officers… they are vital, so the moment you get one that isn’t brilliant, your match is doomed- all because of an external human factor.
Of course I always aim to play as a team and all, but having to sweat over mics to closely interact with people and all is kinda excessive for me.
The best are the players who are behind you, you get, one shot, the second, the third, and instead of going out and killing the enemy who is reloading the gun, they wait for you to die, and when you die, they leave after a while and die themselves, the feeling that accompanies you then is indescribable, the level of impairment is enormous.

I quite often dont even get assisted in repairs by friendlies next to me. I have to play like friendlies are enemies in blue as you cant ever rely on them
Holy cow, if there are so many people driving on the wrong side of the road, pull aside and take a break.
Sounds like a good way to turn a safe easy kill into a 50/50 at best.
Even better now with severe damage, they get you both killed to try to steal 30% of the kill instead of going for 100% of the reward and not losing 2 of your team.
Tnx, that’s about what I expected. and that looked like it was about 300 RP per death… Imagine what it would be like for 10k RP per death…
And the positive is ?
man the only thing positive about WT currently is the hope that it will pave the road for another game from another company (that’s the most basic, from another company) that it will be ok.
WT doesn’t have content currently, just vehicle models.
It doesn’t have meaningful PvE. It doesn’t have meaningful PvP (and sorry guys , i don’t see any skill with camping over airfields and spawns or hunting bombers and base rushers that don’t even have the incentive to fight you - ). Single player missions…exist but do nothing.
The only actual saving grace is private lobbies and again you don’t get RP, so till you have the vehicles you want and with mods you stuck with the stupid quick match modes.
I’m not saying it’s not playable, or it’s that crap. Firstly seeing there is no competition we should be happy a game like that exists in the first place , but after that all the positives start to diminish.
