Yeah… no… 7F was unreliable for a long time, any high G maneuver prior to hit would mean miss. R24R was better up to like 8km so if you managed to get close, you won and that is deck level… up high it was up to like 10-12kms where it would arrive faster. It tracked better and was overall WAAAY more reliable missile + it was on better radar set and BEST top tier jet unlike 7F.
So one side had missile that had legs but was slower up to certain point, on worse platform that had way worse IR missiles at the time and radar and other side had reliable missile that flew faster to certain point on ABSURDLY OP airframe with best, max second best IR missiles on top tier.
Now, Aim7 cant win at range, cant win at short range, is less reliable, pulls less, is on inferior planes ususally, and their IR missiles are worse too. And now one plane can carry 6 best fox1s with 4 best fox 2s… BALANCED
You dont even fly anything using sparrow now, let alone back then so quit talking about it and comparing it if you know absolutely NOTHING about ingame sparrow.
Genuine question, what the hell makes you qualified to have an opinion?
You have less 11.0+ games that I have in one plane.
Your opinion on game balance is less than worthless
No, that was never the case. Back in the day it was very balanced. The aim7s were slower but had more range while the R24r were faster but had less range. But now, not only Russian vehicles are getting the fastest and most maneuverable radar missile, they are also getting the fastest one and their new aircraft can carry 6 of them, not only 2 wich is what made it a little bit balanced.
The favouritism and nationalism showed by the dev team are the pathetic things here, because its destroying the game, simple as that.
A new and better radar missile is needed for nato nations, wether you understand it or not, because of all the failures and glitches associated with aim7s randomly loosing track, turning away from enemies on their own or making unnecessary turns, and most importantly, blowing up when it looses lock for a fraction of a second.
You think we’re angry just because AIM 7 stars, the fastest plane in game currently can’t fly normally at mach 1.
do you remember before some events happened, how OP USA (not ussr miswritten it) air was? like, dayum bro. The majority of the matches was F-5C and AV8A, now it’s all MiG23ML and su25… guess that the main income is no longer patriotic american children but other country fanatics that support what is going along with these aforenonmentioned events. The sparrow was bad, the 530D not so much, but the r27er only registers seven kills in one hundred plus launches. That is more than the aim7f’s 10 percent strike chance. But that’s not an aim7f, it’s an aim7m that should have datalink and reacquire the moment radar regains the lock instead of losing track much before the radar starts to get notched and then self destruct before you can even try to relock.
there’s an issue with @Prophet1313 's narrative. You hug the ground and the r27er will still ignore multipath and even if you’re lucky it’s splash damage is enough to inutilize you. Same as with the “i’ve never been killed by a phoenix” guys that definitely have died to it many times because it’s a fox 3 and as big as a damn Toyota Land Cruiser.
