ive been playing war thunder for a year now and im level 42 11.3 germany air does playing germany make me a noob btw im asking this becaus i heard germany is hated because its op so does it make a noob/bad player???

No, just because you main a specific doesnt mean you are bad player. Opposite is also true, just because you main specific nation doesnt mean you are a good player.
Bad players are found everywhere.
If you are bad, its simply because you are bad.
Germany is one of the, and arguably might be THE most played nation in the game. Meaning bad players are more in spotlight than bad players in other nations, because they are much more present in games.
If you look at the most popular vehicles for July 2025, 6 out of 10 most played vehicles are german.
As for german vehicles being OP, that needs to be judged by case by case scenario, because there certainly are some stupidly good vehicles for their BR (like TURM III). Usually people that blanketly dismiss german vehicles as OP are more often than not, terrible at the game, and are just looking for excuses.

The thing is germany is very strong and doesnt teach u how to play properly
U have strong guns so u dont learn weakspots
U have strong armor so u dont rely on position and awearness and just hold W( at least until leo 1)

Just like Israel, even their reserves already equipped with nuke heatfs, point and click adventure, and at 8.0 they already have access to DM23 which is the most powerful rounds in that br, then they have Sabra which uses top tier ammuntion at 10.0, one gotta be a fool to not perform in any of these ridiculously powerful vehicles.
I also know someone who thinks T-72 are better than them, I think that dude is crazy man.

Israel does have powerful canons but thats it
U dont have armor or high mobility so it does force u to be aware and with good positions
T72 give u this 3 big advantges fire power armor and mobility exept reverse
btw i had someone call me a noob one in 3.7 ground and i got 9 kills that round and he got non lmao XD

Other nations are just jealous cause of ze German Wunderwaffen. Thats why they spread these stories. Ger has the best looking systems and usually they can’t be stopped cause undefeatable Kruppstahl. Thats where they’re running to the forums, blaming, complaining and demanding nerfs.
Even in a World War 1 A7V tank, Allies can’t stop the Kruppstahl.

theres just a serious correlation bewtween abysmally trash players and players that use germany as their main.
I think its easily explained by most people who dont know much about tanks will either:
A) pick the faction they come from
B) pick the nation documentaries say have the best tanks
most pick option B because they think the tiger was actually a good tank or they get all oozy at the idea of a leopard 2 despite less than perfect combat records.
or in the case of american american mains, a very cursed mixture of both options

Granted, 14 kills is very impressive, but a game in a PZH2000 on Sands of Sinai is not the example I’d bring up to disprove hand-holding by OP vehicles haha :)

Idk about ground,
but in my experience for ASB at WW2 brackets – I’m much, much, much more likely to have a team that actually communicates and coordinates when it’s mostly germans than any other team (except maybe italians, but italians are kinda “germans but turny”).
Regularly on allies (with US, UK and USSR), I have completely silent games where everyone is doing their own thing and it gets very frustrating as I see bf109s constantly supporting each other. The rare times allies do co-operate, it does get disgusting (p51C swarm = super deadly and hard to deal with)
Whereas with axis - when i have japanese teammates mostly it sometimes veers towards allied “everyone to themselves” but if it’s germans? Unless it’s bomber spam, you bet chat is gonna be full of “Attention to gridsquare!” “Follow me!” “Cover me!” “Leading for landing” (Returning to base, but with coordinates and altitude) making it much, much, much more enjoyable.
Most recently, I engaged 2 yaks and reported this fact to my team in my 109F4. Immediately, I was told “I’m nearby, play it safe. ~8 km out.”
And then we had a cool 2 yak vs 2 109 duel over Korsun and it was awesome and this is not even a rare occurance!
German teams are great.
Well, mostly. German teams also often get people with very suspicious and disgusting dehumanizing names. Altho, allies aren’t much better as of late either :/. Flying a WW2 german plane while shooting down an american plane flown by “Nate [Human beings with particular characteristics but with H rather than N]123123” is an experience.
