I am honestly disappointed with the current situation of the Yamato in the game. Historically, it should have been among the ships with the strongest damage-control and survivability characteristics available in the game.

This does not mean that the Yamato should be “invincible.” Rather, its design placed exceptional importance on compartmentalization, flooding control, damage containment, and firefighting systems.

Below is the documentation and evidence that I believe should be considered when evaluating its current damage model.

we all know this. we’ve been saying this for a year, but gaijin don’t care. you’re just wasting your time complaining. it’s pointless. just play the SOYUZ ship

I don’t think it’s a waste of time. If there is anything that can be done to improve the Yamato and make it at least somewhat more acceptable in certain aspects, then it should be discussed and reported.

The problem is that, since the Naval community is relatively small, we shouldn’t expect improvements to be implemented quickly. It’s not as if Naval is one of the game’s main ways of maintaining its player base. Quite the opposite—the Naval community is one of the smallest player communities in the game, probably followed by Helicopters.

We shouldn’t get discouraged. Instead, we should keep pointing out where the ship is inaccurate in terms of survivability and its response to certain types of damage.

Even if changes take a long time, that doesn’t mean we should stop documenting and reporting the issues.

bro, I’ve been playing for 8 years. and this game is more and more dead. battle rating and RNG killed this game. gaijin doesn’t solve it and just churns out more and more premium machines. in the last two years he destroyed tanks at lower BR and broke ships so incredibly that it doesn’t matter what skill you have, everything is controlled only by RNG. desynchronized servers, incredibly OP bots in ships that will destroy you with HE ammunition with one hit in the NAGATO ship. I expiled Yamato and I was happy until a troll with HE ammunition killed me in one hit with EMDEN (5.0br). Myjoko at 5.7 was great and then they put him at 6.0 where he plays nonstop against battleships that can’t even shoot at 10km while they shut me down after one salvo. the whole navy is broken and gaijin hasn’t solved it for two years. thousands of complaints about ship balance and gaijin ignores it. That’s why only selected ships are played and the rest of the ships are completely useless. I’m tired of it.
