I remember the days when planes were scared of SPAA… these days firing your guns at a plane is the biggest ‘hey I’m here come and kill me’ bat signal for CAS.

There is weapon of revenge for 70 points against pilots, one click, zero brain usage and jet down. Don’t see a problem
Some (many?) players play GROUND realistic for the experinece in GROUND vehicles like tanks.
So they …
- do not have the fighters to jump into
- do not have the experience to shoot down CAS even if they had the fighter to jump into
- have little interst in air battles, especially considering there are THREE other modes to do air combat in
- what exactly does the fighter do after it has (hopefully) shot down the CAS? It can’t CAP and it’s effectiveness against ground vehicles can be quite limited.
If we had Tank Only we’d be out of your hair and you wouldn’t to put up with all our complaining.

Why don’t you mention how it’s hard to get CAS in battle and how it’s easy to get anti-CAS. CAS is award for your personal productivity in the battle. Time when you sit in your jet and you see 3-5 SPAAs on spawn not allowing you to work and scout targets properly, pilot spends much more energy and efforts just to try to make one kill.
There is no option as you come to play only Ground, you come to play mixed battle, Gaijin provides you everything you need to not suffer of CAS. If you don’t want to play it , then you don’t play WT at all, it is your personal choice.

Not in ww2 era. They have a giant advantage over the slow and often open-topped spaa. At BR 4.7+ the CAS, carrying multiple 500lb and 1000lb bombs has too much of an effect on the battle. Even spaa in the 7.7 range can face helicopters with ATGMs that out-range their guns.
And the fact many nations have giant gaps in their TT wrt spaa just adds salt to the wounds.
Telling players who want to enjoy the ground experience to just jump into a fighter is a cop-out.
Let’s all jump into planes and turn Ground RB into Air RB …

WW2 era affordable for absolutely everyone who just a little bit playing WT to unlock plane. On one plane there are 2 enemy planes and so on.
Who told it should be? Game promotes to sell plenty of planes/jets would perfectly fit into ground battles, mixed battles more likely uniq feature of WT adding to battles feeling of real battle rather than just boring ground
What about people who don’t want to fly planes in RB?
If I want to fly a plane, and 95% of the time I do - I just… go and fly my 109 in air sim. Where the game mode is actually fun to fly fighters in (long match duration, big map, no random ticketbleed ending my dogfights, no A.I SPAA 7km out that instakills you, cockpit view, stick & rudder controls.)

You missed my point entirely.
We have that in custom battles. They’re dedicated friendly servers.
That’s the point. More CAS means SPAA can actually do something. Currently SPAA is ridiculously OP, which means no1 spawns CAS, which means SPAA is unplayable.
You did not even attempt to address that post.
Some players want Tank Only mode because THEY HAVE NO INTEREST IN FLYING PLANES.
They want to drive ground vehicles in a mode less cartoonish than arcade.
- better fog-of-war (no long distance labels)
- more realistic driving operation of vehicles

I don’t accept your point because of you, your “friends” CAS haters only complain about it while devs give all opportunities to fight it. There is no SPAA for low ranks? Research plane, it doesn’t take long enough to open 4 rank. Then you may understand that dropping bombs without markers much harder and demands experience, but you also can do same, don’t want harm tankers , fight CASers on your plane. There is always solution and possibility to fight CAS instead of complain.
