I will suggest
-
Increase Air to air rewards for CAP,
-
Increase the density of foliage and add more treetop coverage,
-
data link between airplanes and SPAA’s could be interesting
-
Balance rewards based on munition used for CAS, smart/dumb bombs, missiles ect…
Datalink is technically already implemented with the a-10c but its just HUD IFF at the moment
Edit: Im a cas enjoyer and i think it significantly adds to the immersion. Some common strategies of dealing with CAS isnt implemented in the game (such as dense forested areas) which i’d like to see.

This, could lead to more than just air restriction… An actual way to laze targets for air, would make an interesting gameplay option other than just sharing radar, and target selection.

Not sure if this has been suggested before, but what if it cost spawn points to rearm the aircraft at the airfield? It wouldn’t make a massive difference, but it would help stop back-to-back plane respawns from constantly happening.

Yes! I would love to see buddylazing making an entrance to war thunder. It is quite nifty in DCS when you dont really have the time to search for targets yourself.

This, or just make the rearming process longer, 30 seconds is very quick. It was not that bad when all we had was props. but since it doesnt take a afterburning eurofighter more than 30 seconds to be over the OP after rearming, we should increase the length of the rearming process.

This is honestly a pretty bad idea. There’s already far too many CAP players and more CAP means less players on the ground, and unlike CAS, CAP doesn’t make any real contribution to the match especially when they’re just shooting down other CAP players, and increasing rewards would only lead to more CAP.
As far as your other ideas:
Datalink could be pretty useful, where radarless SPAA get access to teammates radar.
Decreasing rewards for guided munitions, especially if it scales with how many you’re carrying doesn’t sound too bad.
Here’s an idea; perhaps Gaijin could give TO game lovers like myself what we have been asking for whilst reducing the minimum number of players to generate a game for CAS lovers to FOUR . However, there IS another reason for TO scenarios…the outcome of the game, something that seems to have been overlooked. I’ve lost count of the numbers of times a game has been lost due to the myopic attitude of CAS lovers. Don’t reley on them if winning a game is essential to achieve a CHALLENGE or BATTLE TASK as they just don’t seem to care. Defending a base or team mate means absolutely nothing, into a plane first chance for a couple of easy kills virtually guaranteed…skill not a requirement as 500kg bombs just can’t miss. Then after exhausting their bombload IT’S KAMIKAZE TIME…joy of joys!

I don’t know if I agree.
I’ve had a few matches where I’ve spawned in a CAP to counter any mid to late CAS and nothing. Spent half the match orbiting waiting for trade. Whilst I don’t think it’s a good idea to insentivise AFK behaviour, having some reward for performing that role for your team could mean more people play CAP before CAS spawns in.
This is exactly what I mean though. CAP needs CAS to spawn to be useful, and if there’s no CAS, then CAP is just a waste of SP and a waste of a player. Even SPAA can be used to capture points, call arty, destroy tracks and barrels, and even sometimes scout when there’s no CAS, but when CAP has no CAS, it’s simply dead weight for the team.
Yeah, but if there was some way of making CAP more useful outside of defending against CAS or perhaps allow players to swap between CAP and a tank like you can with a recon drone, then that might be a good option.
I do think there are ways of making CAP better without harming the rest of the game which then serverly nerfs CAS without directly nerfing CAS
If nothing else, halving the spawn cost of CAP would go a long way

the only place where increasing rewards for CAP would work are aircraft that can to both CAS and CAP at the same time, but there arent many
Or just increase the reward for killing aircraft regardless of the method. Would benefit cap, SPAA or just someone using their roof mounted MG

Not many; you are joking aren’t you? Virtually all WW2 FIGHTERS could carry groung attack weaponry of some sort. Blackburn Roc and Bolton Paul Defiant are exceptions. The Developers should also have done their research a little better because some Marks of fighter used in this game carry bombs when in REAL life they NEVER did.
they ain’t gonna survie anyways
at top tier, there is usually either bombers or fighters, and usually theyre barely good at doing both. only some aircraft are good enough for that
NEVER play games above tier 3 because of CAS. In fact just played a game where i knocked out a tank with a SPG from the cover of trees, kill cam showed him where i was and within 30 seconds due to AIR SPAWNING i was shot up, not bombed because he knew i was weakly armoured, by the same player. Every CAS players argument for that is don’t camp and relocate. My arguments are;- a SPG is NOT a tank, how far can you get in 30 seconds and if you move somebody is bound to see you. Everybody hates a sad REVENGE bomber…there lies the CAS problem!

I agree with basically everything here
Wires strewn across spaces (especially valleys) were common too, with many examples in Korea.
While lesser examples of this already exist (a la the guide cables of the big antenna tower on Cargo Port), they are not presented in the manner I am referring to.
Then don’t camp one spot whole game.
Not possible, CAS GETS YOU FIRST! Remember Kill Cam and sad Revenge Bombers. Also hiding in PLAIN SIGHT, is that your idea of CAMPING?
