right now, CAS is hilariously easy to spawn, so i dont see any reason why nerfing CAS requires lowering spawnpoints. your imaginary cope argument is making no sense, you simply want to fuck over ground players uninterrupted with CAS.
You are saying mobile means only works for spaa that don’t use surface-to-air missile (SAM) missiles because you need to keep the missile aiming at the plane to get a hit.
You are saying outrun a bomb next to you works against noobs but not against experience CAS players who drop the bomb just 5 meter next to you and your spaa is destroyed.

I spawn in pure CAP aircraft all the time. Heck I remember doing so not that long ago and spent the next 10 minutes waiting for trade. I think all the Cas that was spawned that match was a single drone
Probably because CAS is already stupidly nerfed. The moment all nations get even something Pantsir level, CAS at top tier will probably need a buff, let alone if we actually get better than Pantsir SPAA, at which point CAS can get totally unnerfed.
At lower BRs there isn’t really much of an issue bar the gaps in nations SPAA line. CAS really isn’t all that strong below 9.3 ISH
The problem is, that won’t happen. There is no Pantsir level SPAA for anyone but russia. high end SPAA is already historically end of the line. Nato nations simply don’t use short-mid range SPAA. So unless Gaijn doesn’t want to implement Patriot missile systems, there is no solution to the problem.
I think they should make high tier CAS extremly expensive to spawn. Minimum 1500 spawn points or something. If you want to pay this for a SU-30, or Rafalle, no problem, just play lower tier CAS without braindead F&F missiles you can shoot from 20km…
With the Type 625E for China and the EldE 98 for Sweden already hinted at for the next major update
Its more than likely we can expect to see vehicles like SLAMRAAM Humvees firing AMRAAMs for the US or Skysabre firing CAMM for Britain this year. Those systems would greatly outrange the Pantsir and would require major buffs for CAS if they are too compete
I play GRB to fight tanks, not die to guided missiles from vehicles I have no hope of countering. And no, spawning a jet isn’t a counter because I would just play air if I felt like flying.
A tank getting hit by CAS is as fair as CAS getting shot down by AI AAA.

one group enjoys skillessly killing players from the other group. and the other group only suffers from this, there is no other outcome.
there are discussions about fixing this, but then generalized group one who loves playing CAS comes to ruin a productive conversation by spamming garbage because they cannot see their only source of fun being removed or just slightly reduced.

im sad to say that choosing russia when i started playing war thunder was a good choice, and in the current state of the game, the only valid choice.
every time i see my teammate in some su-30 i count down from 5, and every time the killfeed gets filled up with a total minimum of 3 kills, no resistance.
Outrun a 5000kg bomb if you can! Can’t understand why STRATEGIC bombers are permited to take part as TACTICAL CLOSE AIR SUPPORT AIRCRAFT. To my knowledge they were used only once in Normandy and even then it was to carpet bomb defenceless infantry…result, many Americans killed by ‘friendly’ fire.

It’s driving me nuts the typhoon is artificially nerfed because of tanks in another gamemode. I want to be able to use aircraft like the tornado Gr4 and by extension the typhoon properly in ASB but I can’t because my main A2G weapon has been artificially nerfed because of tanks.
And yet the soviets get a paper weapon. Just drives me nuts
Another way of reducing the number of aircraft in a tank battle is to only award kills and battle points when they land safely back at their airfield. Just think no kamikazes in a game…that’s about 95% removed from Realistic/Arcade combined game due to lack of talent. However, Simulator mode combined battles, total respect for those players. Taking off with a realistic loadout, nothing like those that AIR spawn with a bombload that would require a runway 10km long to takeoff if at all possible and cockpit view only that IS EFFECTED by rain and snow, unlike the virtual view when playing Realistic/Arcade. Would also like some ground smoke (burning tanks and explosiona) during the game to make locating vehicles more realistic. Try hiding from aircraft in a desert scenario with virtual view…totally impossible. Again, just stating things as they are.
