Warthunder forum users shouldnt be allowed to have ideas.
Well, just wrote that because it might trigger somebody
Fair enough
A vile decision for one to make, which should be off-called as soon as the developers develop themselves a… brain.
That’s fair and maybe you could find a more enjoyable top tier plane in a Sukhoi or MiG, Rafale or one of the several US planes, but if the main issue is how easy it is (depending on the map of course) to counter Fox-3 by Multipathing and to counter front aspect IR missiles by flaring I can’t see you having more fun in a different missile bus.
Well, that is one less worry, I haven’t played enough top tier sim to realise that this is a thing. That leaves false positives on RWRs, which, to be fair, is usually more of an annoyance than a real problem.
You might definitely be right, i might have a sever case of the “Indian plane” fever and need to take a little break.
Spoiler
this has been the sanest most civil argument ive had for a while o7
I get you, I’ve been waiting for something interesting from India as well, but apparently it is too hard to at least add the Sea Harrier FRS.51 and Jaguar IM to the tech tree.
Tejas, Marut and Ajeet would be peak imo, but alas, Gaijin is taking their sweet time with those (if they are even working on them).
I have some.
But
im speculating they are planning on adding a bunch of Indian planes all at once During their own major/minor update like they did with Hungary. It’ll be a great way to not only add them into the game but to build hype for all the players wanting said vehicles
That would be nice and I wouldn’t be nearly as annoyed about something like the Su-30MKI when we also get the Tejas, Marut and stuff like the HAL Rudra or Prachand and the Arjun.
As for the Su-30MKI, I wouldn’t be surprised if that ends up being a Squadron vehicle (similar to how the SuperHind was added as one) as soon as 14.0 is not the top BR anymore.
As much as I would like for it to not be added, I feel like that would be a good compromise between those that don’t want it in the tree and those that want India to be represented as well as possible.
Then why not just make an indian tree if you have all the unique indian stuff? Just add a few copy paste centurions and t55s and youre there.
One thing at a time.
Britain had to suffer ALOT before it got a goddamn gripen and then typhoon, yall have no right to complain if we get more indian vehicles in british tt.
The last thing the British tree needs is a Flanker.
So they get everyone else’s stuff? Yeah no, that’s weird.
Get Indian stuff, lol.
Weird how people dont seem to have this issue when it comes to talk of the UK getting a Hornet via Canada or Australia, or others getting Hornets from sub nations like Finlands in Sweden or requests for a Swiss one for Germany. Only ever seems to be a problem/is talked about “this way” when it comes to India which arguably did way more suitability modifications to the assets they got then most of the other copy-pastes people suggest as alternatives.
Being against copy paste is fine, thinking India should be its own TT is fine (and I support too, but isnt happening), but its weird how inconsistent people seem to be claiming that India should be “different” and feels to be 2nd class to other countries.
Why dont gaijin add the Indian rafale too? In fact why separate nation, just mix it up in a blender.
Kinda proving the point there mate. How is it different to the addition of the Hornet to Sweden? To the requests for Hornets for the UK and Germany?
I wonder if the Aussies randomly bought Mig 29s or SU-30s, if we would have the same kind of hostility in requests for those in the TT…
you need to know the meaning of subtree was to mainly filling gaps, not giving them a reason to give everyone the same things. Sweden getting F-18 is ok because what else could they add?Gripen E?Same reason why japan get a thai sub tree because they have nothing other than F-2 and F-35. British already got the Euro fighter, they dont really need a su30 right now.
Devs have said it isnt the only reason, but allows them the ability to do so.
Examples being that Finland doesnt really fill gaps in the Swedish tree. Belgium in the French tree. South Africa in the UK tree.
Pretty much all of them have domestic systems they can call upon for those gaps. It is also to help allow nations that wouldnt normally get into WT, and their vehicles, get into WT.
And if it isnt a reason to give everyone “the same things” explain how the Hungarian and Finland trees dont do that with their massive copy-paste USSR tank lines xD
