When the best player scoring the nuke bomber came out it was a bit of fun, now it happens fairly regularly and I really find it annoying. The last game a player with good piloting skills was getting lots of easy kills and after 8 kills he scored the bomber, game over.
The thing is it was a fun and close game up till that point. Teams were well matches and neither side was getting spanked. Even a few of the players on his team asked him not to fly it as it was going to ruin the game, needless to say he still bombed the map and it was game over.
Makes me wish if you dislike the mechanic you can unselect it as an option. Yes I’ve won the bomber 4 or 5 times and yes I’ve used it a few times (not always) but it is a pretty worthless addon to the game. Also the slow, painful animation you have to sit through after just rubs salt into the wounds.
I’d happily wait a bit longer a bit longer for a game than have it cut short by this feature. \

I mean you couldve denied him the nuke in the first place.
isnt that part of the game?

He carpet bombed the spawn then the cap, i think he racked up 6 kills in 2 minutes, not much I could do in a Tiger with a MG AA gun on the turret that can only traverse up 12 degrees.
CAS being what it is is entirely different issue to implying nukes might be too accesible.

Where was SPAA or CAP planes on your team then? If the game was evenly matched one of your teammates or even you could have shot him down.
Not to say CAS is not too strong sometimes but there are always option.
And jot like the nuke plane cannot be shot down either. I once shot down 2 canberra nukes in 1 match so I know it is possible. Especially since you say you were playing the tiger meaning the nuke was probably a B-29 which is trivial to shpot down.

war thunder isnt a team game and the sooner you realise that the better.
He did well in his tank and his reward was an instant win, regardless of what his team thinks

Honestly rather than the SP, its the system itself. Autocannons give too much, SPAA spawns are essentially free, and the downtier/uptier/BR difference is wack. Once had a 15k game in SEP, didn’t even see the icon, because I killed some 10.3s, even though they can absolutely kill me.
Yes, I’d be happy to see the nuke go away. Given the rampant use of mods in RB, its just become another incentive for players use them.

Next time you’re in a game and a player has 10+ kills with no deaths, watch the replay from that players view and see if you notice any behavior that doesn’t make sense…
Why not just say hacks/cheats then? Mods is not what people usually refer to in such cases.
You might just see that the enemy team play like blind lemmings. Not every 10+ kill player is a cheater and you immediately assuming them as such is an issue. I have had many games with 10+ kills because sometimes you get enemy teams that just feed you kills if you know where to position your tank.

Nah cuz that’s how you don’t get swamped by your team.
And no CAS won’t win you the nuke. You win at least 90% of the nuke first, then choose to risk more with CAS.
Originally I was against the nuke system, but have grown fond of it and believe it tends to be a good climax builder or suffering ender.
1 team being well and truly rolled? Ends the game sooner.
1 guy on a rambo mode through the enemy force and sweating through the enemy air to drop the bomb? Nice.
1 guy sole surviving his team which is losing and brings back victory from the jaws of defeat via sheer force of will? Perfect.
As for the CAS thing, skill issue frankly, if your team is not stopping a CAS man from nuking, its on your team tbh. I have managed to go from 0 SP to nuke in CAS before and its 99% of the time because the enemy dont spawn SPAA or a fighter to stop me. Oh and if they do spawn SPAA, they open fire from well beyond effective range, giving their position away and then I bomb them when they get distracted or on a bad angle.

I don’t get it
You have to opt in to spawn it so you already have an answer of sorts
You can bring up the menu and select return to hanger immediately, you don’t have to sit through the animation.

For me it does nothing sadly, i gotta sit.

When reporting a player the option the WT gods give you to select is “illegal modifications”. Also over the years the terms you used have been discouraged. I never make any assumptions. Someone might run a mod and not be good with it dying repeatedly and not making an impact on the game or they could be very good with it and have 15 kills with no deaths. This is why you watch the replay from their view. Still not 100% and so don’t report anyone unless the replay have very clear evidence. The most common is a player tracking the location of an unmarked and unscouted enemy through buildings, hills rocks etc. If you see this, pass it up to the WT gods and let them decide.
Tiger means this was a B-29 BR. The B-29 is slow as hell and not very durable with the current damage model. As soon as you heard the siren you could have J’d out to spawn in a fighter and deny the opposing player the nuke.
If you and/or your team mates had no fighters in your lineups, at least you should make sure to bring one next time.
If you didn’t have the spawn points for fighters, then kudos to the enemy team.
If you had the spawn points for fighters, but enemy fighters performed successful bomber escort, once again, kudos to the enemy team.
The rules are the same for everyone, there is nothing unfair about nukes. In a team game where you rely on unspoken cooperation for so much, something that rewards exceptional individual performance is fantastic to have.

Depending on distance, what you’re describing is simply listening to engine noise. Turn yours down to the minimum, enemy engine noise up to the maximum, get good headphones, and you’ll see no cheats are needed to know where to expect enemies from, at least in close quarters.
Ive gotten 24 nukes dropped. about 30+ times getting into the plane. My best record was a 5 min nuke in a Ratel 20.
I think the nuke is a perfectly fine mechanic, its only a problem when its aquired through an oppressive overpowered vehicle (every 35mm SPAA, XM800T or all the other OP undertiered trash killing the game)
If its actually aquired out of simply outplaying the enemy team, even if their team is ten tickets off of losing, it should be congratulated, a worthy winner deserves the clutch
Yes that can be, or not… as you say distance can be a factor. That said, WT should just automatically review the play of the statistical outliers. I player using an unfair advantage but not making an impact isn’t much of a concern but the players that are waste everyone’s time and undermines the value of the game. If you’re really that good you have nothing to worry about. That said, we wouldn’t be having this conversation if WT had written dedicated code for RB years ago.
