Before you read, this topic is not very serious, more like fantasizing about cool things.
Pretty weird topic, but consider this. Are there any ways that you think could make war thunder gameplay more cinematic in your opinion? I have a handful of ideas myself
AIR RB:
1 Ground flak fire should be much higher in numbers, so you see dozens of explosions around your plane in a few km radius, it would not make it any less or more effective, but would look really cool visually
2 bot plane formations could be implemented better, lets say a really large group of bots flying in a formation starts somewhere near where players take off, players can help escort that convoy to protect it from other players/bots, maybe it helps with win condition, maybe make it its own gamemode
3 more scaled up ground units, more tanks and viehicles on the ground, and maybe more situations where tanks of both teams fight against eachother, instead of convoys and stationary positions
GROUND RB:
1 bot planes doing things, maybe a plane formation is flying nearby, it dosent bomb the battlefield but it flies over it, players in planes or spaa can shoot them down for some small ammount of points, heck maybe make them actually bomb the battlefield in some mid game event, not very dangerous but deffinitly imposing
2 more ambience/ distant explosions, gunfire, shots, bombs, explosions in out of bound areas, stuff like that. Make the battlefield feel alive and not a small grid with the action
3 this one can be controversial buuut, AI viehicles/infantry (like in the event), not tanks but transporters and stuff like that, they could give some points, but infantry cannot block capture points and will retreat once its starts to get captured (but armored transporters could slow the capture down if not destroyed), that infantry woudnt attack tanks with grenades like it did in ww1 event, just be there
Feel free to criticize or discuss the ideas, but more importantly feel free to share your own, its a bit of a unrealistic silly topic for daydreaming about different things
I would love to see a short cinematics before the game start

We don’t need more bloat. We need what we have now to be streamlined and smoothed over. It’s bad enough Gaijin devotes an inordinate amount of money and dev time to just shoving new playable craft on us every major update and not enough time fixing things and smoothing things. We don’t need “better cinematic” experience right now.
That would be cool, or maybe a cinematic at the start of the game, like your viehicle driving on the field
streamlined? smoother over? so you want less cool details and just blank gameplay? go play something more competetive then cause war thunder is a casual game

Yep, that would be cool. SPAA fire from battleships looks epic and having something visually similar for SPAA locations (like bases and airfields) would look pretty awesome too. Especially proper Flak when flying a heavy bomber
Id also just add on things like landing and nav lights for aircraft.
How do you guys even make all this cinematic video or photos?
More radio chatter would be nice I think, would bring more life to the game then most voices lines are either your crew, your team spamming “Air!” or drone operator marking a target. Ofc it needs own slider, so people could opt out
They need to streamline this game and fix the damn code. I can hold out new vehicle release if they dedicate 2 update cycle for game overhaul to fix this game issue.
The flak and AI plane formation PLUS the ambient war noise for GRB is good but the rest of it is just performance bloat.
Yeaah, flak fire from ships always looks just awesome, lights up the sky with fire. I wish there was more of that
True, even small stuff like “you got a hole in your left wing” is pretty cool, or your bomber crew reporting they are on time and on target
