Ideas to improve naval experience, especially for new players

As Gaijin is introducing monthly naval events in one of three months for now, here is some ideas of mine to improve naval experience:

ONE: Reserve 1.0 - 3.3 range for boats. This means moving all bluewater ships one BR bracket up

TWO: Move current 5.7 and higher ships one more BR bracket, this means the 5.7 ship will be 6.3 after the improvements, and the max BR will be 7.7

THREE: No AI boats should spawn in battles 3.7 and higher

FOUR: Improve aircraft experience by blocking AI anti-air gunners of ships to target aircraft further than
750m for calibers 0-19mm
1500m for calibers 20-39mm
3000m for calibers 40-74mm
4500m for calibers 75-104mm
6000m for calibers 105-149mm. These are the maximum distances AI AA should start firing dependent on AI controlled guns.

FIVE: AI AA should get at least 25% less accurate

SIX: “Boat only” maps should have little to no wave effects on surface.

SEVEN: “Boat only” maps should be for every battle below 3.0.

EIGHT Maps above 5.0 should incentive boat gameplay less by leaving only one capturable base for boats, so for example no Andaman Sea above 5.0.

NINE: Destroying AI targets should give a reward closer to 80% of the reward destroying a player vehicle. Accuracy is less relevant in naval, as a result AI can be a serious threat for ships especially smaller than the AI target

Without boats, you will get a static game where nobody wants to leave his beloved Island Of Cover.

Do you know how it was before AA couldn’t hit really only with Ace crew sometimes air targets? Reducing AA would be favour CAS spam.

No AI boats means less RP progress and the queue time goes up again to 20-50 minutes.

The favouring CAS spam simply bias for air. If you really want to destroy ships with aeroplanes, play Air but don’t mess up naval any more

what about ai controlled pt boats like the skr which make planes usless in naval

honestly, I think that the most important things aren’t cas and br but some mechanics that make the game less enjoyable and the lack of real tuto for naval. To make myself clear, one of the biggest issue in naval is the fact that rangefider can track u through hard cover like a rock or an island. An easy way to fix this would be to break lock when the superstructure of the ship is hidden.
Then when it comes to the tutorial, the issue is that you are thaught how to engage a static target, not how to engage a moving target while being on the move, and this with several km of distance between each other. The way to fix this would be to ad such senario in the tutorial so beginners would be better prepare to face other players.
An other thing to improve would the time alowed for the battle, wich sould be increased to 45 minutes and increased the tickets to at least 20k for each team so boat would not ruin the game by tacking point early and alow bigger ship to reach the battlefield.
An other thing to consider would be to rebalence HE. In the first three days of Alpha Strike, HE was incredibly busted and then gaijin nerfed it into the ground again. The idea would be to increast HE damage a bit more, like half way between now and in the start of Alpha Strike. On top of my head this is what I can come up with, if I get something esle I might come back later.

I have played boats enough, they have 0 to no effect on ship vs ship combat, so whoever is hiding will continue hiding.

AA spamming people 5kms away is not realistic, not entertaining. CAS spam is not a thing for naval and will never be considering nearly all 4.0 and above ships deploy enough air defence to simultaneously attack multiple aircraft.

AI boats != AI ships, you can still have your AI Krasny Kryms.

increase rewards to speed up grind time would be a big beneift

Sure no effects, I wonder why people complained back then that the AA don’t work as it should.

adding ww1 planes using naval could be a fun idea not many ww1 flight games on the market

Yeah giving RP for each hit would be a nice to do, even if it is like 1 to 3, and giving like 5 to 10 when destroying a module, when you look at the amont of hit you are doing in naval, you are going end up with a decent amont of rp

yeah it would be much nicer if i had the same speed of research as i do in planes ans in naval

Yes. AI right now is super irrationally accurate. I am not saying that a destroyer should not be able to shoot down a medium bomber. But it should not do it 5 kms away with AA guns of 20mms

There are literal ghost bombs in naval, so if you somehow manage to avoid laser AA targeting you kms away, you still get no rewards.

Another point, your AI gunners are not targeting the ships of the same class or larger ships, for example a destroyer’s AI gunners are not targeting another destroyer, even if you lock aim by x+2 or x+3 keybinds.
