Most people in War Thunder only plays one nation or two. With likely only one reaching top tier. And for some who reached top tier, they either bought premium vehicles or they skipped most vehicles that the game offers. While new top tier or high tier vehicles are being constantly added, reaching top tier and get all vehicles seem almost impossible. Many people I know who used to play War Thunder quit due to this reason.
However I have an idea that can probably fix the problem, please feel free to give suggestions.
You download the game as usual, pick your starting nation.
You will have One 3 day premium mid tier (Likely Rank III-IV) vehicle for each nation. After expired, you likely have already decided which nation you wanted the most.
You grind the nation’s tree, and spade all vehicle from Rank III and below, you will have a choice to either have a Rank IV premium vehicle that you can keep in your current nation, or a Rank IV premium vehicle that you can keep in another nation.
You will have the vehicle and the choice to boost start your new nation grind. However, if you pick to have a premium vehicle for your new nation, you will not have the option to get a Rank IV premium for the new nation you just started. But you will get an option to have a Rank IV premium vehicle that you can keep in another nation, after you spaded every vehicle in the new tech tree below Rank III.
When you reached rank VI and spaded everything below, you will get a premium vehicle that you could keep for Rank VI for this nation, or a premium vehicle that you could keep for Rank IV if you haven’t already got the premium vehicle from the award for spading everything Rank III and below..
This system will implement into Ground, Air, and Naval techtrees.
Please tell me if this may or may not work. Just my personal opinion to make this game more enjoyable. Notice that the grind will still be painful, so people will still run out of patience and buy the top tier vehicle haha
ngl its not as bad as people say atm. Yes it absolutely takes to long to grind ground, but air is rly fast in comparison. I would say just bump Ground and Naval RP rewards and its fixed
Those are good suggestion, but the main problem im trying to solve is people not playing most part of the game. For last month USSR itself got more matches played than all the nations except germany and USA combined.
That’s somewhat on them, since the ‘intended’ way is to grind and spade lineups in a tech tree through the ranks, which to anyone genuinely interested in the vehicles/history should be fine, or the modern ‘alternative’ way which gaijin is now pushing, buy a high tier premium/prem lineup and keep bashing your head against a wall with those vehicles until you reach top tier.
Only place I really see a problem is repetitive maps/matchmaker and poor RP rewards compared to the other two modes, alongside the fact that you need to research far more ground vehicles (and auxiliary vehicles like CAS) in order to be competitive at top tier, as opposed to a single jet you can research at top tier air
