Ideas for a 2S38 nerf

It functions as both a light vehicle and SPAA, though is primarily meant for multirole capability. It is neither, or both.

If anything, giving it SPAA status would give it unbelievably low respawn cost.

The designations are effectively the same, though 3UO8 is a true HE-VT shell with a radio proxy warhead.

3UO8 was meant to be láser guided wich it’s weird af

Honestly, correct it, add in the system that PUMA players want, and go from there.
It still won’t make the 2S38 10.0 in SPAA duty, nor will it make PUMA 10.0 in its own SPAA duty, but it’ll make things closer to proper functionality.

Laser guided 57mm HE is 3UO7, not 3UO8.

Hmmmm now i’m confused

About?

All so what is the purpose of having HE-VT if You have HE-TF cheaper and programmable

Because HE-VT allows for less components pertaining to offensive weaponry, in this case the 57mm, and is far more accurate than an HE-TF shell.

How the heck do You manage more components in a programmable Shell than in a proxy fuze??? Actual skill issue from the engineers

It isn’t more components in the shell, it’d need the proper components to time it either before insertion into the breech or while it’s inside the breech.

Usually this is done by an ADL unit, for datalink.

The 2S38 is very easy to kill in that you are right, however I think the only op part about it is its multirole capibility at such a low rank however this thread has taught me more that just changing it to a SPAA would make it OP

Gaijin would never nerf the 2S38 and it has been confirmed several times by simply ignoring for many updates and nerfs.

Well, yes - they won’t nerf it because:

  • It doesn’t have any discrepancies with real life (you’re welcome to make a bug report if you find any)
  • It’s currently balanced at a BR of 10.0
  • It’s classified as a light tank already and doesn’t have the advantages of SPAA spawn costs

Quite simple, really.

Yea and I can see why they wouldn’t nerf it too, in my own opinion (so do not be mad at this) I think its stats are based off the people who play it, so when people buy it they just rush out like its a wonder weapon

Why doesn’t the OTOMATIC have unlimited APFSDS? Limiting the amount of APFSDS or APDS is a balancing decision Gaijin makes for SPAA, therefore if the 2S38 was correctly designated as an SPAA it would have a limited amount of APFSDS.

This seems completely unfounded.
Considering the most played premium in the game is the German Leopard 2A4 with a camo net.

At a similar BR to the 2S38 of 10.3. They’re both premium, except the 2A4 is played even more.

And the 2A4 not only has DOUBLE the K/D of the 2S38, but it also has basically the same K/D as the tech-tree copy.

For example -I personally bought the Chinese premium T-69IIG at 8.7 when I reached 8.7 in the tech tree playing regularly, to strengthen up my lineup. Many experienced players do this, I would reckon. I would also believe anyone experienced that is starting up a new tree is very likely to get a high rank premium.

Russia 10.0 is actually quite midling without the premiums, as well. I would say anyone wanting to play it would basically have to buy the premiums regardless of how experienced they are, just to have a nice varied experience.

The OTOMATIC has a limited number of APFSDS shells because its APFSDS shells in real life are limited, as well. Because they’re larger than the HE-VT. The 2S38’s HE-VT and APFSDS shells are the same size, so it can bring as many as it wants.

I’m pretty sure this was explained within this thread, even. Literally a mere 40 posts up.

Limiting APFSDS is not and has never been a balancing decision.
Your posts have only lies.
2S38 being SPAA wouldn’t change anything for APFSDS.
OTOMATIC is limited because it’s dual-feed, and APFSDS is longer thus gets its own feed ramp.

Edit:
Lvkv no limitation.

ZSU-57-2 no limit.

Etc.
Sadly those two are the only ones I have max ammo on. I’d show more otherwise.
