General Discussion: Bushes on Tanks (Specifically the Jumbo)
Hey guys, I know bushes are a pretty controversial topic in this game, and a lot of people really dislike seeing them used—especially when players completely cover their tanks with them. I get that, and I agree that overdoing it can be pretty ridiculous.
That said, I wanted to ask how people feel about more limited use. On my Jumbos, I run a single bush to partially cover the driver’s port. The Jumbo has a very obvious and well-known weak spot there, and the goal isn’t to hide the tank or abuse camouflage—just to add a bit of protection so people can’t instantly snap a shot into that spot every time.
For clarity, I don’t use bushes on my other tanks, and I’m not stacking a bunch of them on the front. It’s literally just one bush on the Jumbo, specifically because of that weak point.
I know some players get really upset about bushes in general, so I’m genuinely curious what you all think. Do you feel one bush in a case like this is reasonable, or should bushes just be avoided altogether? I’d appreciate hearing your thoughts—mostly just trying to understand the community perspective here
I can’t really speak for all players but I personally don’t care if people use bushes or not. Mainly because if a player tries to use them for camo but the bush still doesn’t match the environment I can still see them. If it’s on a jumbo like you are doing/wanting to do, on the mg port I’m cool with that because I have kinda memorized where the mg port is so I can still usually take them out, lol. It’s basically only on little rats that I dislike them. Like the weasel, xm800t, fox etc.
In your example, it is a little bit pay to win as u are making ur tank harder to kill, but I don’t have that much of a problem with it. It’s also annoying for small tanks like the ASU-57 that are pretty much invisible when bushed up
Bushes should have a negative impact in RB as they do in Sim. That means if you cover your whole turret with bushes, you cant see anything with the gunner optics (bc the bushes are covering it).
I don’t really care about bushes any more, they where made destructible are a compromise with the people that claim they are OP, which I think was fair. Kinda sucks that they are tied into the battle pass to get them for free now, but it’s still not that hard to get them.
