Only france? Bruh
i quote:
looks inside → top tier france, while playing arcade
Idk, I only use napalm to spade planes that aren’t good enough stock, otherwise I don’t bomb, and yet the grind doesn’t feel that slow to me
The economy for me (non prem) is completely OK in sim, just don’t treat it as a fight to the death. I pay 20k for a Meteor, and I see two enemy planes flying towards me? I turn back either to the nearest friendly so we can even out the odds or just run back to the airfield. If they split up, I will turn back and chase one.
I used to pay double that for a Canberra (unarmed, speed could not save me from some divers, only viable when top of the bracket as with higher brackets they can easily catch up in level flight as well, not to mention possible missiles) and just focused on surviving. I think i have less than 5 deaths in it in total, but many bases bombed. Some spitfires also have a 13k spawn cost (while facing off infinite energy Ki line and heavy hitting Yaks) at a BR where the rest of the planes range from 4-8k.
If you go straight to the A point or deliberately throwing yourself into furballs, you are risking more.
But that is not an “issue”, it’s a conscious decision. What the real issue here is that for instance A point caps out at 6km, and if i have a 10k capable plane (P47, TA152…), I WILL get dragged down to 6km (and below once dogfights start), where the low alt soviets will shine and nimble japs can eat breakfast (various prem planes probably also have benefits around those alts), otherwise I cannot help cap the point and I’m just roleplaying as a weather balloon.
Another issue is that we might be trying to earn SL while playing, but a content creator or a whale can just buy SL and not care about losing even 10k per spawn. Like playing CS, but some players don’t have to reload.
Yet another issue is buggy gamemode or completely unrealistic BR position. Lightning F.6 (brutal climb and speed for it’s time) has 2 rear/side aspect CQB AAM designed for taking down heavy and slow bombers and NOTHING ELSE. At the top of it’s bracket it is paired with a 20 year newer design of T-2, which has very closely matching stats, identical purchase, RP and spawn price… But it has three times the fuel economy, 3 types of sidewinders, 2 types of bombs and 2 types of rockets available. One of these planes HAS to kill other planes to get points, the other can bomb bases and convoys and still be able to dogfight. You can take a wild guess which is which.
You might say - there is always recon planes, bomber formations, attacker formations… but there isn’t, just this week I have been in games where for 40 minutes, FORTY MINUTES, certain objectives didn’t spawn even while capping A points. I could only save SL by taking off, cruising for a couple of minutes in hopes of targets to intercept, then landing.
So yes, the economy in theory is reasonable enough (if we trust that spawn costs are based on plane performance, not just to make us avoid it and buy premiums of that BR, which makes me wonder why the Lancaster is almost double the spawn price as the 288C with almost the same bombload, but I don’t see any Lancasters killing lobbies and deleting airfields, which would result in the 288C having a spawn cost of about 70k by my eyeball estimations, but who am I to judge…) it’s only that you are not only playing against other player, but fighting the game mechanics for no reason at all.
This is unironically the most based opinion I have ever read here. I would also like to add that not only is the stock grind bearable, it is also a fun part of the game for me and many other players.
There are a few exceptions, such as naval or simulator, but most of the time it’s fine overall.

Why do you have so many leopards but no matches in them???
No, it’s not ok at all. I don’t understand how and where you found out so many bs all at once.
Several reasons, I guess.
I like playing WW2 and Cold War vehicles over modern vehicles.
I enjoy to spade vehicles. So I have fun spading all vehicles in the same BR before I start on the next BR. Currently, I have spaded all nations (perhaps with a few exceptions for vehicles I really don’t like) up to BR 9-10.
And I try to have at least 100 battles in every vehicle. It’s an entertaining way to pass the time if you’re bored. :)
I guess. I have all the frebch tanks up to rank Viii spaded. I just cannot play top tier its so dogshit.
I also have all planes up to rank vii spaded. But I don’t think I will be spading any of the non french designs because fuck copy paste.
I’m playing airsim for the past 4 years exclusively . I earn enough SL that I can buy and crew the next unlock when I research it pretty much everytime. Now ground and naval, that is grind of apocalyptic levels.
Ground grind is soul grinding. Especially high tiers have 3 slightly different copies of same Leopard/M1A1 whatever. It is artifically hard. They are ok if they are foldered.
Go try killing an equivalent tier battleship with HE. Good luck. Doubly so if you’re a Yamato or Musashi and the enemy is a Soyuz or Iowa.

0/10 ragebait post.
Expert and aced crews are definitely the main problem for the economy SL wise. Whenever you buy a high tier jet, you have to buy it twice and whoosh! 2 - 3 million SL gone. Don’t even get me started on how they increased the cost of expert crews on premiums as well, making some of them upwards of 2 million
The funny part is that if you don’t have an expert crew, the other guy is a lot more likely to pull in on you since you’ll have to dip your nose a lot earlier than him. It’s literally like having an extra G suit module with a ridiculous price tag
Yeah toptier expert and ace crews are insanely P2W, reloads, repair and G tolerance all make such an insane difference that especially aceing is just unfair for f2p or employed premium players
This 1000%
